always felt space should be more customizeable
RSS feed/vlogcasts/commercials should also be suscribeable as part of the big CQ television

supported because why not?

+1 Holding a system should allow for more announcment on the owner's behalf. If they want to announce that it is their system to strangers, why not give them this opportunity. In wars, those (billboards) could either be destroyed or they would switch to the new alliance owner. Same for CQ TV that would switch to the new station owner.

However, in high sec and low sec, billboards should be owned by the faction since they own the system and CQ TV to the station corp owner so that we stay logical with the above reasoning.

Another idea would be to enable corps and alliances to have billboards in empire space (or in an alliance space that have allowed it to the particular corp or alliance). I mean, instead of seeing plenty of little containers near gates, we would see actual billboards announcing stuff. There could be a fee (can be the same as POS or less) and a required standing (again can be same as POS or less).

Exactly what im proposing.

I'm all for moving Corp advertisements, (in a limited fashion), from drop cans to billboards.

I'm not sure about Nullsec Alliances having billboards floating around generating passive ISk for nothing. Maybe they could pay to have a Billboard, which they can then put relevent or entertaining data feeds onto. Similar to RSS feeds, but more relevent to life in Nullsec and strictly representative of in-game events in EVE.

Costs:Fuel costs to keep the billboard active.
Income: Income per passing pilot (lets say on grid or 50km / 100km)

In null those should be an non-warpable billboard. As to not killing the "gatecamp" effects like a bubble or stop/ drag bubbles.

I think your the first person in the world to look around and say "Hmm I think we need more advertising because we only see advertising for half of our day lets put it in other places as well."

In other words no, no advertising anywhere in eve. Advertisements are horrible.

I'd love for billboards being modules that you could fit to your ship, and instead of shooting, they'd spam your target's mailbox with adversiments.

Exactly.
With 3 billboards in system the alliance holding the right over a system can mute localchat for players with bad standings.
