My annual subscription expires in December and I intend to take a few weeks off.

At that point, will I change to an Alpha clone or suspend as previously.

If I change to an alpha clone I assume all the skills I have trained that are not availbale to Alphas will disappear.

When I resubscribe will those skills magically reappear?

Your skills don't go anywhere, you just lose access to them while Alpha.

the skills only become yellow,/ inaccessible, but once you subscribe again they be back to normal

Thanks all for the replies, one supplementary if I may. What happens to the augmentations I have plugged in, but no longer have the skills to plug in?

they stay plugge din and still work, however if you die you can not replace them, unless you go omega

Everything Omega-related will be frozen waiting you to become Omega again and resume it. You dont lose anything.

Note that if you have all your alpha skills maxed out, you will not be able to train anything while you are in the Alpha state. If you are deficient on one or more of the skills available to an Alpha, you can at least train those.

Also remember...

If you fly something more fancy than a Cruiser of your racial type then you will be allowed to dock with it, but not leave the station with it...

My main is trapped in deep null with a T3 that he can not use :p

So basically just make sure that:

- you're docked at a station, so you don't have to emergency-warp your ship with disabled skills when you go Alpha
- maybe even bring over a collection of Alpha ships (frigates, cruisers) so you don't have to go shopping
- install as many jump clones as your skills allow; they'll remain usable through Alpha status

And finally, if you've already trained the skills that Alpha have access to, and can't train anymore on that character, create a brand new Alpha alt and train the alpha skills on that. Basically, free alt. Maybe pick a race that's opposite from your current, so you can try out other ships, etc.
