I am curious how many 2003 players are left logging in for more than 20 hours a month/ are consecutively active

/me raises hand.

EDIT: Also, /me is confused about the word "consecutively" and /me wonders if you mean the Alpha login limitation.

Well, I'm not 2003, but I did start in late '04 if that counts. I took the last 4 years off to move to a different country and get married, so I've been a little busy. But I'm back now :D

+1

I take breaks more often these days, but when I play EvE I still spend a lot of time in the game.

There are probably more of us than you think. I would not be surprised if there are a couple of thousand 2003 chars still running around.

How many with their original owner might be a better question.

Metrics like this I'd be interested in CCP producing.

03', not consecutive though. Lots of moves, deployments, 2 wives, 3 kids, multiple jobs and college. A lot can happen to interupt a game subsciption in 13 years.

Yeah I'd love to know. I'm the original owner, been playing since beta phase 5. I joke that in the past 13 years, EVE has been one of the few constants in my life (although sometimes I say the only one).

If it was possible to datamine eveboard you could find some of them, at least the people that are registered on there.

Chribba uses the api to record stuff like number of logins, average time online, date of birth, total skillpoints, so you could work it out for a subset of characters (those on eveboard), though injectors mean it's not quite as simple as before injectors. Prior to injectors you could estimate their max skillpoints and see if that matched up with their age (roughly).

I have three 2003 accounts and still own two corps that I created in 2003, original owner..

Whomever is making the last few years decisions on what changes are to be implemented in this game, must hate Eve with all their being.

A lot of the older players are, well, older.

Many of them have families and/or responsibilities that may take them away from the game for extended periods of time.

Let us not also forget those who have moved on to the next life, 13 years is a very long time after all.

Not at the latest Vegas fanfest, but in one of the previous fanfest, they presented a graph showing the eve population from start to current based on account age. You can look it up.
