According to AlexijII on Reddit, Darknesss scammed him for 320b.

Can anyone confirm this?

I hope it's not true. If it is CCP should reevaluate their, "HaHa you got scammed" policy!

The third party industry is dead thanks to keepstars. Dark was always the businessman who unlike chribba was in it for self gain above all else. It makes total sense he would cash out with the highest tick item before his industry fully died.

reputation is a luxury in eve, if a player with such reputation decides to turn to the darkside then why should it be ccp's problem to intervene? these sort of "heists" are what make eve online get front page of the internet.

tbh the whole thing with being dyslexic to avoid a contract is totally suspect

its around £5,000 (16.99 = plex.. X 320 = 5436.8 give or take a few for the price of plex being 1.1bil)

320 billion is roughly 275-280 PLEX at current Jita prices - let's just call it 275 for grins.

At the individual plex price, that's $4,930 US, give or take.

Or enough PLEX to sub a single account for 23 years.

Funnily enough, it would have been worth far more in terms of dollars a few years ago when PLEX were cheaper.

Another way of looking at that is that it's roughly 4 troy ounces of Gold or about 9 kilos of pure Silver.

The only issue is how people reading those front pages will look at Eve, the players and community in general. Getting to the front page of the internet for being a douche in other peoples opinions doesnt good publicity make imo.

Doesn't matter. He freely gave that isk, and now it's gone. Scam is legit, regardless of where the in-game money came from.

scamming is part of eve and something, if you agree with it or not, you need to be watchful of.
