This isn't for me at all. I don't mind paying for this game, even though I barely come on and play. It's a damn good game with too much depth! The only problem is many people don't want to approach it because it seems too complicated, and because it cost them money monthly. I'm trying to recruit about... 8 friends right now, but none of them want to pay for the game. A 21 day invite would probably do them some good, but it may not be enough to keep them sucked in. Not to mention they will be on trial and won't be able to access everything the game has to offer.

My proposal is: Make the game free for everyone for say, 2 or 3 months, AND ADVERTISE THE HECK OUT OF THIS GAME AND DUST 514. (Bash on WoW and it's new found simplicity. It gets easier day by day. But it's like Boosters. Hard to get off of 'em.)

This should get MANY new players, and hopefully a lot of subscribers after the 2-3 months. I remember when I first played this game back in '09, I wanted to train in Amarr Industrial. But I couldn't. All I wanted to do was mine until I could use a Hulk, then Mine some more, but I couldn't do that efficiently because of the trial. Without the restrictions, everyone will be able to pursue any career choice for the whole 2-3 months. It'll be like college/university all over again!

I just want to see many new players play this game, say "Oh this is pretty awesome", See Dust 514, say "Oh this is pretty awesome", find out that the two games work with each other, and say "Oh, I have to play Eve AND Dust 514! This is going to be awesome!".

I know I will be, but there won't be any convinced cod/wow fans unless you guys woo them with 'free'.

This is good news. Hmmm...

Maybe my first post can be forgotten in that case. It'll probably still get some more players if the game went free for a couple months so anyone would be able to do anything. But Free 514, That warms the pit in my stomach that needed to be warmed.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it's not quite free...

What there is instead is you pay about $20, and you get the game. However, you also get $20 of ingame currency when you start, so it's more like a minimum buy in.
