Exhumer and mining bonuses malfunctioning?

Twice today I have logged into the server since my launcher updated and twice I have seen things that make me wonder if something from the upcoming patch accidentally made it into the game, or got messed up somehow.

First, this morning at 0530 PST, I pulled my Mackinaw out of the Foritzar to go mine for an hour or so, and a previously stable tank was no longer stable.

Then today around 1730 PST I get in fleet to activate the std 10% mining foreman bonus. To my surprise the blue checkmark is on my fleet window, but the mining amount from my strip miner II's with ark crystals did NOT go up. It was at 1535m3 with and without the bonus...

What's up CCP??? Did you all screw up and you aren't telling us?? Hoping you can fix it quietly or just wait till the patch gets released some time next week?

Anyone else see this issue?

EDIT: I was able to dock and undock and the strips started showing the proper mining amount. But I still want to know what changed that my once stable mackinaw fit is now only able to run for 2m 50s..

Wild guess: you are using different crystals. e.g. Plagioclase (-5% energy usage) crystals use more capacitor than Veldspar (-20% energy usage) crystals.

Tip: Stagger your strip activation. The cap usage is a big spike on activation, followed by a very long recharge period until the next activation.

"Stable" depends on usage. All the calculators assume a constant drain over the activation period:

average GJ per sec = activation GJ / cycle time

which is not always an accurate model. e.g. You can still be stable below peak recharge level (around 25%-33%), if your cap goes nearly empty upon activation, but recharges for 3 minutes. It is rare for a calculator to show "stable" below peak.

You lost 15% due to the change in skills/mining foreman implant skill change that removed the increased yield component

That happened today, the 15th. The OP posted on the 11th.

Oh Dear, CCP have removed the mining yield bonus from the Mining Foreman Implant. No yield bonus at all. Huge Huge Nerf to mining amounts for Ore.

So the extra cargo hold was to make up for this and snuck in. What a joke CCP. Again you make me not want to play.

What a waste ogf my mx-1005 mining implants for my toons.

Ice increased as all attributes effecting Cycle Time are reduced so if you are an Ice Miner Yay. If you mine ore in high sec you are screwed. Looks like another boost to Null production.

Also the supposed boost to Mining Amount from Mining Drones that would match an exhumer........WHAT A JOKE. not even close CCP. Sort your act out

The New Voice is NOT GOOD

The Character Interface is interesting but moving skills up the queue is a pain because we cannot pull out a separate skill queue and are restricted to the tiny little skill view window.

I bet you are all patting yourself on the back arent you. This is why you need Alpha Clones because you slowly alienate all the players in Eve that get something out of the game.......strangling it to death.

Rant over. For now.

Mining yield and boosts were adjusted to compensate for the 15% implant loss.

I agree that the mining drone yields are a joke. If the rorqual can do 5k no indy core, and almost 30k with indy core online, then I think the ICS's should stagger down as such..

The orca should be doing AT LEAST 2/3 of what the Rorq can do with no indy core. So that would be roughly 3500m3 per cycle.. About twice what it is doing now.

The Porpoise really is a brick... You used another ships model and it does less than 1000m3 per cycle.. How is someone supposed to pull a miner out of their exhumer to make a living on that? It should be doing at least twice as much again...

Then there's the problem on the rorq that the Excavator Mining drones total cost for 5 cost twice what the ship does... WTG!!! You need to rebalance the required items for those... They shouldn't be that much... Either that or start dropping A LOT MORE elite drone AI"s to bring their price down... I shouldn't be paying more than a couple hundred million for one drone, let alone 1.2B for A SINGLE DRONE!

Tldr: NO

The orca and the porpoise are command ships. If they would be able to mine more than an exhumer, everybody would switch to them. I would love that, but it will not happen.

The market in eve is healthy as it is. No intervention needed. You can mine a sh*tload of ore or ice with the (ice) excavator drones. They are worth their price. Otherwise give it a year or so, to see, where the price will rest.

Edit: I'll give you that. https://youtu.be/A1kPRgrHZ3Y The amount you can mine now with one account is insane. The Roqual in this video makes more ice then 3 fully boosted skiffs.(i calculated it). Including the possibility to compress the ice, he outruns my orca+freighter+3 skiff.
1 Account makes more ice then 5? That is illogical.
