Question for those with two monitors (just one Eve session running)...

So, I have Eve running on my main monitor, and I keep a browser and spreadsheet open on the second monitor. Sometime, making Eve the focus blacks out the second monitor, and sometimes it doesn't, so that I can see what's in the browser, etc. Any idea what causes this, or how to make sure I can always see the second monitor? Oh, and when I say "sometimes", it can be random from one time to the next, even in the same session, so it's not tied to reacting the same way for a whole session.

Also, is there a way to >not< have Eve minimize when I put focus on the other monitor? It takes a couple extra seconds every time, and would be a lot less annoying if I could get it to stop :)

I have the same two monitor settup. Running EvE in 'Fixed Window' solves your problem.
Esc. menu, Display & Graphics tab, left column > Display, top drop down menu. Choose 'Fixed Window, click apply.

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

And not quite, one is spreadsheets in space, the other is a spreadsheet on Earth ;)

Im building a new computer with partly bought and partly christmas gifts so its gonna change a bit.


@OP yeah fixed window or windowed mode works great for me. Also Eve Preview is a thing. Blink
