After all these years, no quick interface import/export options?

or am I missing something?

I understand it can be done manually... just doesn't make sense for game that is so heavily interface based to not have a built in option to import/export.

If not... come on... someone could code such an easy feature while sitting on the toilet during a bathroom break. P

You can import/export your overview/ship tags setup through the overview settings -> "misc" tab. You can also link it in chat or evemail to share it with others. You cannot however import/export your window positioning.
