Are you not aware that Commander Kim is the final arbiter on who is to be considered Caldari?

I applaud Captain Tuulinen on his decision. The pendulum wars are unwinnable under the rules of engagement imposed by CONCORD, whilst efforts against the Drifters may well bear fruit in preserving safety across the empires. His choice of duty is both pragmatic and efficient.

Despite antics of previous "orator" Skyweir Kinnison and his attempt at disrupting the conversation with trolling, I would still like to give you answer.

Yes, that's what I have meant. And I believe you, Mr. Onzo, shall be more worried about it, since the incident happened in your space.

Here we are talking not about "terrorism" of Templis Dragonaurs, who did nothing against the State or Empire, and whose terror act happened 200 years ago, but about an event happened in our lifetime, and against the ally of Caldari State.

It is all on the surface, Mr. Onzo. And we really shall not forget such things.

I have been on the fence about the Drifter situation but I fear I won't have the luxury to remain there much longer.

I applaud your decision Mr. Tuulinen, if these attacks on the New Eden cluster continue to ramp up I will likely join the fray as well.

Tuulinen-haan doesn't need me to defend him. However, Kim-haani, you have crossed a line.

How exactly is the state supposed to run Kim? In your eyes every caldari should be taking up the fight against the federation right? If everyone's doing that how are you to feed yourselves or actually have an economy to pay for your warring? Or are they simply not doing their civic duty to your people by allowing others like yourself the ability to focus on fighting?

Either way congrats Pieter, your doing something for the cluster as a whole, including your own, as opposed to others circling a beacon in space as a mercenary and touting their superiority for being good at doing so.

Thank you Diana for the straight answer. It's true I'm no lover of the Rote Alliance, and Lady Steward Lagann's corporation's ties to them are something to be considered. But I am not totally convinced that one can say Pieter is definitely disloyal to the State, not that such an issue is even my concern as a non-Caldari.

I will dwell on this, but as you have stated, it is his choice and I for one won't condemn someone for wishing to destroy the Drifters. Aside from that, I choose to exercise restraint on giving an opinion at this time, and simply hope many more Drifters are destroyed as a result of this choice.

I know they are the enemies of both Caldari State and Amarr Empire, ma'am. But at the same time - look at the map. You can see how many systems are occupied by Gallente Federation and Minmatar Republic.

Compared to that Drifter's presence is insignificant.

I don't mind him fighting the enemy, be it drifters or something else, Mr. Onzo, what I do mind is:
1) Deserting when we lack numbers and need every pilot here.
2) Siding with well known terrorists and enemies of Amarr Empire and Caldari State.

Oh, that's a valid concern actually. I should point out that I am in Morwen's employ solely as an anti-Drifter agent and that I will not be acting as part of the alliance that her Corporation is part of.

I am not tied into Rote fleet communications at any level. I will not be flying in their fleets. I will not, in fact, be interacting with them in much of any way.

Doesn't matter. That good ol' "either with us or against us" thing is alive and well here.

Walking away from the grave existential threat that is the militia war is just not forgivable, you know...

To be fair, if you're not crying woe is me about the Drifters, you get pretty much the same reaction from an even greater majority these days.

Let's not let Kim's neuroses derail this thread.

Oh not you too, Verin. Is 'unforgivable' really a reasonable reaction to that? We've had this conversation once already and you didn't seem to have gone that far into the wormhole at that point.

I don't think EVERYONE needs to focus on the Drifters right now, I just feel a calling to help my people in THIS way and not in the other way. I'm not telling anyone else what to do, Mizhara.

I said they have a point, no more than that.

Do I think the Drifters pose such an imminent danger that I need to down tools and grab my gun? No. In fact I think the best place for me in the face of that potential threat is exactly where I am. You never know what we might find as we poke around out here in W-space, and in any case my presence helps safeguard the security and prosperity of millions of people.

I've worked in teams all my life, and a big part of that is knowing what your strengths are and when to apply them, and knowing what your teammates' strengths are and when to get out of the way and let them apply theirs.

Right now? I know that the two entities I care about the most in K-space - the State and the Republic - are still in a sufficiently strong position that my contribution would be strategically negligible.

Origin on the other hand would suffer quite badly from my absence in a crisis. I'm not going to abandon it unless I have a truly pressing reason to do so.

Certainly more fair, Verin, and I do congratulate Pieter on finding a tad more... constructive path in New Eden. You'll hear no complaints from me on that front.
