i am going to try giving eve another go and have decided to return, i have this character which has skills spread around everywhere, would i be better creating a new toon and specializing my skills under the recruit a friend program or continuing with this character?

which do you think?

Definitely use your existing character. You can use Skill Extractors to move some of that SP around if you don't like it where it is, and the training time you'll save by using your existing character will be far more than you'd get from the buddy invite bonus.

made new toon and used extractors to get him more skill points from my old one.
the old one became PI alt.
