EVE New Citizens Q&A

Greetings I missed the new patch roll out but have updated... and seeing the new features I had two questions that I can't seem to locate a solid good best practices, how to, etc.

I had an old account that expired many years ago, I have located the account and it still has inactive toons on it that show up in a search of EVE toons on TQ. I would like to see about reactivating this account under the alpha level access and then revamping it... any ideas or help on how this is done would be appreciated - I am a noob when it comes to this particular part of EVE, I only ever played on account for years.

How do I set up an alpha account now? I understand that every player with a subbed, omega can somehow make a second alpha account, just can't log on both? is there a best practice? or a way to buff or reward yourself (such as invites and buddy system, etc)... doing this? and what is the process in general?

Old accounts are already Alpha, all you have to do is log in and play.

Except that recently CCP has introduced email verification, so you have to log into Account Management first and click the "verify email" link.

Then you can log in and play.

Your old account is Alpha for all intents and purposes; your characters keep their skills and ships, but all the skills that are beyond the limited Alpha skills are greyed out / disabled. So your characters will function as Alphas.

Old accounts do NOT get the new voice-acted tutorial that CCP has built. They get everything else after the tutorial though.

So if you want to see the tutorial, you can create a new account. You can create as many new accounts as you want. Just visit the main EVE page and click "Create new account". You can use your existing email to register it, there are no limits to how many accounts are created on a single email.

Then create a new character on the new account, see the tutorial, and then go back to playing your old accounts or your new accounts or whatever you wish.

Only one login at a time, though, unless you log in Omega (subscribed) accounts, in which case feel free to play on multiple screens.

If you create a new account now you can get 250k more skill points if you use the recruit a friend link. You can reactivate your old account send an invite to your new created account and when/if you upgrade to omega you will get rewards on your main account.

And yes, you can't have more than 1 account logged in at the same time unless all of them are Omega.
