Disturbing the AFK multiboxers

alright so I'm in bit of studies and I like to do some mining in the meanwhile on my secondary monitor.

from time to time I get pirates etc and I need to be actively aware of local and such but,

started this week ice mining for some variety sake and I noticed this guy which I'm almost 100% sure is a multiboxer (due to the spread of the ships and the fact they moved as one).

so that guy had bunch of exhumers and orca booster and freighter on closed formation in the ice field.

yesterday when we didn't had such fleet in the icefield each ice rock survived kinda long time but that guy just chunked it all in matter of minutes, it was amazing.

here are some screenshots:

http://imgur.com/a/EvlBt

as ou can see the tight formation, the spread and the fact all the toons were member in same 7 man corp. also all miners had sorta same name.

this was 0.5 space, and the problem I think was there is the lack of challenge posed by rats. once every few minutes 2-3 frigates will spawn and get murdered by the scout drones (there is a huge fleet of them due to the multiboxer).

imho what should be done is to add some sort of "check" and based on number of ships and their class to spawn stronger rats and in larger quantity so guys like that won't be able to just sit there afk ignoring everything.

I think fleet that size should encounter some cruisers bare minimum, maybe even BC rats - add some challenge to it.

btw in the 10 minutes it took me to post this thread + screenshot he cleared the entire ice belt.

thoughts?

my skiff solos three battleship nullsec belt spawns, do you really think a couple of bcs are going to bother anything?

Also, since they banned input broadcasting a couple of years ago, he's not doing anything wrong, and certainly isn't AFK if he's clearing a belt in ten minutes.

Then again, if he isn't following the code, you know exactly what you have to do to get rid of the guy.

If you believe he is truly bottling or input broadcasting then you can report him and let CCP figure it out. If you are wanting those resources for your self then it only costs a little to war dec him.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

number of very advanced ships controlled by single person and clearing site in moments? no challenge? no risk? dunno but seems wrong somewhat.

The risk is your jobTwisted

I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!

nah I don't mind the money, I can just purchase plex and get few bill if I "want" something. I mine because I study at the same time.

Well, I don't know exactly how to analayze if it's breaking the rules,
He got all the ships in close tight formation, he had bunch of hobs floating from all the ships in aggressive mode so he didn't bothered with rats.
All ships in smooth motion moved as one, changed targets as one, it was weird... Star Trek Borg levels.

If that happened with zero delay in between, then report him for botting.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

While the reasoning is wrong, stronger belt rats should happen anyway, simply to provide more content. They won't open any kind of huge isk faucet considering that you can make better levels elsewhere, but it would provide additional high sec content which is not a bad thing.

This picture tells those of us with experience what's happening here.

See how the barges are mostly pointed at the same ship? That's from the multiboxer having all the barges approach the one, likely the squad commander. A squad warp and quick alt-tabbing to cycle clients is all it takes to get barges to look just like that picture. This allows the multi-boxer to position his fleet using only one ship. It does not, in any way, violate the rules pertaining to multi-boxing.

Machariel works best, thing is fast as ****.

Otherwise a 1600mm plated MWD Vexor works beautifully for bumping. I can give you a fit if you need, but it's pretty easy to figure out. Twisted

You want thoughts...I wonder why it bothers you, I don't get it, if his presence in the belt bothers you then do something about it, code is bothered by you, they hate miners (no matter what bs they say), so code does as they do.

But I don't understand brains that get stuck like a broken record and over and over people like you obsess to a point that you actually let it bother you, have you seen the NPC mining fleets, doing the same a player might doing but somehow this is ok but a player doing it bothers folk...seriously just so many busy bodies every freaking where.

Not seeing the problem.

1. If he is clearing the ice belt in minutes he is clearly ATK.
2. Multiple accounts is totally legit.
3. Put on your big boy pants and do something besides bitching on the forums.

Couldn't tell you if the guy is a bot or not What?. However would like to see ice belts move much like ore anomalies do though. That way they at least have to move that fleet around before getting to stripping it all out. Plus it would give some systems something different to do for a little bit whether that be mining the ice or mining the fleet of barges that just entered the system Twisted.

Not your job to analyze if rules are being broken, if you think they are or may be send it to CCP and let them sort it out.
