I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do now. I feel like my skills are way too low to really do anything worth while. Can't scan down some sites and can't really do combat sites for exploration. Mining is just meh with a venture, not really going to accomplish much. Can't really work up to higher level missions or ratting because my skills aren't good enough. I just feel like I don't really have anything to do now except wait for like 2 weeks until I get some basic skills done.

Suggestions? I'd love some suggestions as to what I could do during the wait.

You seam to be in need of leadership. As such is offered in the recruitment section.

What aspect of the tutorials/mission arc did you enjoy the most?

If it was the missions, look at mission agents. Find a level one mission agent and try some of the missions they hand out.

There is also the recruitment section of the forums.

EDIT: Access to higher level missions is usually dependent on you having high enough standings to be offered them.

So pick a faction/corp you want to build up your standings with, find an appropriate mission agent and start running missions while those skills are training. You will be improving your standings, earning some ISK and some LP while you do it.

TBH, you now face the real challenge of this game..."What do I do now?"

The answer is entirely up to you. I certainly don't have it, after 3+ years and over 60 million skillpoints.

In this game player knowledge and experience are far more important than character skills.

Further this game is what I call a true MMO meaning that it encourages group efforts over solo play where ever possible. You need to get involved with other players. Either shooting with them or shooting at them

This game is an open world PvP game at it's core and the PvE is just there as a means to provide income not engaging content.

In Eve you should never be waiting on skills to train. There are modules and rigs to help with scanning. There are tactics to help with making NPC combat easier to handle. There are friends to help you do stuff. You should never be waiting on skills.

TL;dr;
make friends and try some PvP or find some other way to get involved with other players.

Look at that chart and find something you might like. Try it out and if you dont, move on to the next thing.

I would also suggest joining a corp that does things you like. Having someone to ask questions, help out, or just trash talk is lots of fun.

You got your Red V Blue, Goons have a new bro corp, PL, EvE Uni, and so much more.

The PVE careers are indeed structured to require increasing numbers of skills trained, and better ships, to get "worthwhile" money.

This game is a PVP game, though, and the PVP isn't structured like that; swarms of newbies in cheap ships CAN win against veterans, which is why the various 0.0 alliances are recruiting with all the incentives they have.

Join Brave Newbies, Pandemic Legion, Karma Fleet, and the slew of others you can find in the Recruitment forum, or in-game in the Corporation Recruitment app. They'll give you free ships, ISK, advice, and they'll keep you entertained with daily ops.

You don't need to grind PVE in this game. It's not worth the time, esp. since you can make $20 at any job and get a PLEX in game which you can sell for 1 billion ISK, which you'll be set for months.

Instead of waiting 2 weeks you could plan ahead and make the isk you need for bigger ships. Mining in a venture is meh but you can relax listening to that playlist you have in your pc.

Or you can make isk through those low level missions till you have enough for a Cruiser or a Battlecruiser. In 2 weeks you will have plenty of ISK for the ship you want to fly, the required modules and extra in case you get blown up and need to buy everything again.

If those 2 are not going to make you enjoy the game then i suggest what others already said; joining a null sec alliance for PVE/PVP.

I immediately joined a newbie friendly nullsec corp and spent most of my time scouting down routes for people doing supply runs back to HS, as well as did a bit of ratting in asteroid belts when I could handle it. The time spent scouting and setting up bookmarks for that group was very fun for me, since it seemed 'dangerous' at the time, and I could do it in my little rifter. I got more ISK in thank you donations from the alliance than I knew what to do with at the time, and it gave me something fun to do while skills were training.

You could always try your hand at the various types of scamming! Most require no training time to get into.
