Twenty four hours is too short. I'd be happy to be pay a fee to extend the life of my expedition/escalation bookmarks. I'd also like an option to pay for the bookmark to be added to my Places list without having to travel there. I could then give/sell it to people.

Why?

I often don't have time to run the escalations within 24 hours of when I earned them. I'd pay to be able to run them later on, more than the 24 hours we get now.

In my opinion the expedition system could use an overhaul. I think that those long distance travels were intended to create conflict over blue modules but the reality is that we want to pve at the most possible safety times and places.

The unrated complexes are much more challenging than most DED complexes and usually not worth the time spent anyways.

I admit, I would rather run a DED complex than chasing a green module over several regions at constant risk of losing my isk making ship.

Some expeditions take you up to 22 jumps away from where you are and going there can cost you more than you gain.

My advice, just ignore them and or give them to a corpmate.

No. Escalations are already too common and this has severely depressed Deadspace loot prices. If you cannot run them, sell the bookmark to someone who can run it for you.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

I kind of think we need to talk about escalations in two different ways based on how they are generated.

Type I comes from anoms and escalates to rated DED sties. Given the number of people grinding anoms in null, certain type I escalations are pretty common and probably represent the bulk of DED 9/10s and 10/10s that are run. Extending these seems silly, especially given that many people running them are part of much larger groups with good networks for selling sites.

Type II comes from unrated sites and escalates through a chain (which can get rather long by the time you're done with it). There is a shot at blue loot at the end, but the slog is often far from worthwhile. However, they're interesting content that can't be had elsewhere. It's content better suited for solo explorers. I do think we could talk about extending these, either through a payment system or just a flatly increased timer. It wouldn't have much effect on supply of battleship A or X types, which are the blue loot oversupply areas. Honestly, I think just bumping those timers to 48 or 72 hours would see quite a few more completions; I know I'd welcome it. Alternatively (and yes, I know what the problem is here; I abused it myself) just reinstate the warp-to-refresh-the-timer system.
