Hi everyone,

Just coming back to the game. I logged into my character that I had left in my wormhole. He's now in hisec!!! Was there a reason for this? Anyone else run into this? Very confused

I had 4 in a wormhole came back to find them all in highsec as well, and lost the wormhole in the process.

Thanks ccp

Thanks for the reply!

Do you know why that happened?

If you're coming back as a free to play, are you not allowed access to wormholes?

Also, if I am free to play and buy a PLEX off the market, does that turn me into a paid player?

Happened to me - I had multiple characters over several accounts moved from WHs back to highsec while unsubscribed - but unfortunately one in a carrier was still logged off in a WH which caused some issues with extracting it (as the probing and support characters logged off with it were now in their highsec home stations) especially with all the capital changes meaning the fit was non-functional, bays overloaded, etc. etc.

EDIT: This is nothing to do with the alpha thing - I did an API check a few months back at which point all but my 3 characters had been moved, the other 2 happened sometime between then and now.

This is normal and has been the case for a long time. If you logout in space, after some time (six months?) the game automatically moves you back to your home station.

Why, I am not sure, but perhaps it is part of some database maintenance.

Yes it does. If you activate that PLEX of course.

Hmm several of my characters were moved after only being logged off 2-3 months and I had 3 characters, one being the one mentioned in a WH in my post above, that were coming up on a year logged off in space and hadn't been moved. Weird.

Two months seems pretty short although I have never tested it. This random post claims 6 months but who knows if that is accurate or if it has changed.

Perhaps though, this system doesn't move pilots in capital ships like yours. Given capitals are not suppose to be admitted to highsec, that would be a bit of a problem CCP probably would like to avoid.

Only the 1 capital character wasn't moved - I had others characters in capitals that were moved.

If you buy PLEX from the market it goes into your inventory in-game.

You then have to reverse-redeem it into Account Management, and then use the PLEX for account time.

Or from the character-sheet in-game you have to click the button to apply the PLEX to subscription time.

It's not automatic.

You can keep the PLEX in your inventory and sell it back to the market and remain Alpha, if you want.

That is truly bizarre. Did the ones that were moved have home stations in lowsec?
