A minor point to be sure but I note with some irritation that when hovering over an item in a cargo bay the description is presented in white on the dark grey background but the estimated cost is mid-grey on the dark grey. Very hard to see. Indeed at first it was so inconspicuous that I missed it all together.

This is shoddy design. The UI is supposed to be the way EVE gives the player the information requested. It's not an exercise in minimalistic Nordic aethetics. Keep the "kool" design stuff for things that don't matter like ship skins.

To do otherwise is to degrade the experience of the player and in effect tell them "Our design decisions are more important to us that your needs".

Please, change the mid-grey text on dark grey to white text on dark grey. This game is hard enough without having to fight the UI.

No, I offered my personal opinion on something that takes away my enjoyment of the game.
My eyesight is not as good as it once was and having low contrast text in a message that is trying to give information that I want is bad design. I tried to explain why and how it could be improved. That's all.

I f you think that I have been condescending and insulting I apologise. All I was trying to do is point out that a minor aspect of the game was making life difficult for me.

Changing the color scheme you use might help here too.
