If i try to mine an asteroid using my Civilian Miner tool I get the error message ' Invalid target, can only activate this on Asteroid.'
Can someone help me?
Thanks

There are two possible reasons for this:

- You have something else targeted (asteroid and something else) and haven't selected the right target.
- Its a decorative asteroid somewhere in a mission site and is not minable.

Make sure you have selected the right target (if you have many locked) or look for asteroids in asteroid belts.

To clarify a bit. The asteroid should not just say "Asteroiid" It should be Veldspar, Scordite or whatever.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

That explains why I can't mine it. I can lock onto it OK but It just says ' Asteroid '.
Thanks for your help.

Yeah, that's a decorative rock that's just there to make the mission zone look pretty.

Here is a list of mine-able ores in the game, along with their enhanced versions (+5% yield and +10% yield):

http://ore.cerlestes.de/#site:ore

This list does not include ores from mining missions which are not sold on the market.
