How to survive the transition to 0.0?

So kinda have a few issues that seems to crop up alot with the transition to 0.0

1. My corps 0.0 system gets a guy whos online 100% of the time cloaked so if you try to mine they call all their friends in with a cyno and own you. Then when i'm inactive I get kicked from corp for not playing yet it's the corps rules you have to not be out if theres a neutral or red in system.

2. My corps kicked me for inactivity due to me having to wait weeks for them to freight in ships so I can actually do anything because theres nothing on the market out there. Sitting in spacestation isn't fun lol and non stop for a month with nothing to fly? xD

3. Rules are you can't jump into the next system without confirming if the system is clear in the intel channels. You ask in intel and and 15 mins later noones replied and it turns when you go against the rules and enter anyway the system you were asking about was so clear that not even one player was in it blue or otherwise >_>

So in theory the corp or alliances rules assuming you follow the rules would mean noone is ever allowed into that system again because noone will ever be in the system to say it's all clear :P

4. I always have an enemy kill my ships by scramming me and webbing me while I can't do anything about it and 99% of the time my brain goes into full on panic because I can't afford the $$$ to buy another plex to replace the ship and the enemy finds me and attacks me every time before i've had a chance to earn even half of what the ship cost to buy. The only way my money goes up instead of down is if I buy plex.

Long history of corps and long absences from the game on both my 2 main characters because of it.

You joined a cr*p alliance, who didn't teach you how to survive.

Move along now.

There are some parasitic alliances out there that are only interested on feeding on their member corps. Whatever rules a corp or alliance has, it should not have you spinning in station for weeks at a time. The alliance and corp should be able to provide ships for you to fly if the market is not robust enough to provide them. Shipments should come in regularly.

It all comes down to fun, if this isn't adding to your fun, leave. The sad fact is, even though people hate on goonswarm, they take care of their own. Which makes them one of the best alliances to be in. The alliance should enable you to have more fun, the corp should enable you to have more fun. If they are not doing so, then the problem is with the corp or alliance. Leave. Don't look back.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

1. There are ways to get around a cloaky camper. Check his killboard for active times, or set up a trap to kill him. That said, I do think cloaky camping is a stupid mechanic, but you'll have to find a way around it for the forseeable future. Also, if your corp won't let you risk your own dang ship, it's a crappy corp.
2. My corp's JFs run continuously and generally make deliveries within 24hrs. Any corp that has such terrible logistics that I can be kicked for inactivity is a corp I'd stay away from. Any corps that take in newbies and don't have new player ships on hand should also be avoided.
3. That's just plain stupid. If a corp restricts my movements in their own space, I'd quit in a heartbeat.
4. Sounds like your ships are too expensive if you have to support them with PLEX. A venture costs practically nothing and pays for itself quickly, and a mining barge is also quite cheap if insured.

When looking for future corps, I recommend looking not at what you can do for the corp, but what the corp can do for you. Just about anything you do is going to support the corp, so choose a corp that supports you.

I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!

Well, this is one of the many things that happen in null, the only way to deal with a cloaky is to set a trap and reverse it on them, if your Corp can't help a new bro settle in, including replace some simple ships and take care of problems like a cloaky, have good standings with Neighbors by being diplomatic you are in a Corp that's going to fail, getting out is best.

You need a Corp who takes new bro's and takes them under their wing for a time and help them get their feet wet, sounds like everyone in the Corp are interested in their own ISK making (farmers), then actually building something first.

Yeah and the markets do suck in null, because if you put stuff up to make a reasonable profit others think your a **** for not selling for less then what it cost to make, helping is one thing, charity is another.

And lastly if you go to null have the skills needed for activities you will be doing, and bpc's to make those things you need, most of 0.0 has nothing to buy and if your Corp won't float you then like now your s.o.l.

Seriously, if you wanna check out Null Sec without having to go through all of that bull, just visit the Providence region.

In Providence, the locals enforce something called" NRDS". Not Red, Don't Shoot.

While you can still get killed by roaming pirates, the inhabitants themselves will not attack you unless you attack them first.

It is a good way to dip your toes into null sec and find out what you wanna do.

BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty.

Honestly I like mining in a barge so going out solo probably wouldn't be viable.

I don't feel like this is the place to advocate my corp, but If you're looking to just go mining in a barge in null, well, Provi is your place to do it. Intel channel active 24/7 and some corps/alliances (such as the one I'm in) run boosts on schedule and whatnot. Granted, it's not completely safe, due to aforementioned pirates, but at least it's a lot better than what you described. If you're interested feel free to send me or my corp CEO a mail.

I live in null in an alliance and we suffer from none of the crap you just described.

Leave that corp/alliance. You can do better.
