Criminality and fleet boosting

So lets say person A is fleet boosting in a porpoise or orca.

Person B asks if he can a fleet boost and person A is nice so he invites him to fleet.

Then person B sees person C who is not in fleet can mining in the same belt.

So person B takes the ore out of person C.

Person C gets mad and attacks person B with drones or whatever.

If person A has say shield command boosts on cycle and wasn't paying attention to what was going on... Does their boost also flag them as a criminal?

Because either that means:

1. There is a way to make A who isn't paying attention go criminal and then kill them.

or

2. That person A can boost criminals with shield boosts without worrying about being attacked.

So which is it?

Hmm interesting question.

Can anyone confirm if Fleet boosts are treated the same way as other remote effects in High-sec? Or do they fall outside of those mechanics?

If they are treated the same as other remote effects, then yes... person A can be attacked.
If they fall outside of mechanics of remote effects, then no... person A can only watch and twiddle their thumbs in safety.

Also... OP... "Criminal Status" is a very specific thing in EVE.
It invokes a CONCORD response and will result in the untimely demise of your ship via NPCs.

You are referring to "Suspect Status," where a person can be engaged by anyone and everyone for a limited period of time.

Note: "Outlaw Status" is another thing entirely, but operates just like "Suspect Status." Only permanent.

Yeah suspect status is what I mean. So that anyone could shoot the Orca who wasn't paying attention to what was going on around them.

Boost's don't work like logi, they probably should but they don't.
Boost's don't inherent flags.
. this is a source of great sadness and woe unto my friends and I.
For we assuredly would be feasting upon orca perpetually were things different.
