Alpha clones and Data Sites

Hi

I am finding very hard (best I got was around 78%) finding Data sites with my Alpha clone (that is maxed skilled), I am using standard probes/probe launcher I am flying an Imicus and it helps but still cant probe them above +/-75% and this on 0.8/0.9 systems.

I used to run my Omega and I do know how to probe.

I am wondering if using Sisters stuff would help as I don't know that it would be worth the investment.

You should be able to probe down any "nomal" data or relic sites in Highsec. The one you likely encountered was one of the rare Limited Sleeper Cache or something similar which is much harder to probe down. You don't want to run those on an alpha anyway so just ignore it and move on.

There should be plenty of other data sites you should have tho problem scanning down if you keep looking.

Whether sister modules are worth it depends on you making a good profit before being blown up. HS is oversaturated, so you'll find more sites in ls or wh space, but you're more likely to be blown up there too.

Faction gear is not too only option. There are rigs and modules also

a bit off topic... but I find that some data/relic sites have caches that are empty

just how common are these empty cache boxes ?

From my experience, maybe 5% are empty, not too common. I bring a cargo scanner to see if the can is valuable or not.

In terms of faction stuff, the only thing that i would get if you had the extra cash are sister probes, cheap and powerful.

Don't be a douche and leave sites half complete. Be a good capsuleer and finish the sites so it despawns :D

Aye, faster they despawn, faster new ones spawn. Still having a cargo scanner helps you grab the good stuff first in case you are chased off the site. Or in hi-sec someone else warps in and starts trying to grab the cans for themselves.
