So, you're probably a little bit overwhelmed at the sheer amount of information and possibilities that you are now suddenly confronted with.

So, I, as one of the greatest IGS posters of the modern era, have decided to help guide you, and help you avoid some of the common missteps that newly immortal individuals make.

1. Do not shoot the stargate.

This is quite a common error, especially for very new pilots. In the heat of battle, things can become very confused, and often, a new pilot ends up shooting the stargate by mistake. This can have severe consequences in high or low security space.

2. Do not warp-jam the stargate.

There have been very, very, few reported instances of a stargate warping away, so it is generally considered unimportant to warp-jam one. Also, consequences.

3. Do not web the stargate.

It's not going anywhere, so webbing it doesn't really help. Also, consequences.

4. Do not ECM, Sensor damp, tracking disrupt, or target paint, the stargate.

5. Obtain a useful tactical overview settings profile.

There are many pleasure devices now sold that cater to the capsuleer market, including devices that plug into your spinal sockets, that promise direct stimulation of the brain, instead of inefficient twiddling of your fleshy bits. They are of variable quality, and as ever, you get what you pay for. Noble Appliances devices are of the highest quality, though Gallente manufactured devices come in a staggeringly bizarre plethora of forms.

8. Do not share your pleasure devices.

That's how you get viruses. Eww. Ewwww. Eeeewwwwwwww.


So, by avoiding these 8 common mistakes, you too can achieve greatness in the field of being a capsuleer.

I find that all this unwarranted violence towards Stargates, perpetained by Alpha clones, to be entirely unnecessary.
