Re-purpose the old browser code to allow the Forum in-game

Saw this thread in GD and went into Rookie Help to have a look myself & lend a hand.

Had to quit after 10 min because of eye-strain. I don't know how GMs and ISDs can handle it.

There's got to be a better way to facilitate new-player help than a single chat window with >4,000 accounts patched in and asking questions.

I think a possible solution might be to re-purpose the old browser code (from the in-game browser that got removed some time ago) to allow the EVE forums in-game, specifically EVE New Citizens Q&A. Sort of an "EVE Intranet" with the purpose of providing a structured way for all players to get help and talk about gameplay & mechanics.

Obviously, the forums are here for new players, but I'm not sure how many of them are aware of it as an option compared to the mayhem of Rookie Help atm.

Not a bad idea actually.

Trying to keep the ingame pbrowser up to date was a bad use of resources, but using it specifically for the forums and only the forums/eve gate would make a lot of sense.

Wasn't it removed because it was a massive security hole?

That's not something ccp should be adding back in.

Not a bad idea except for the fact that their questions listed in the threads probably won't get answered fast enough, also a lot of redundant threads will be posted all asking the same question which will create more work for the forum moderators.

Maybe have the Browser reactivated and programmed to just open up the Eve Support page : https://community.eveonline.com/support/

Then all players in-game can access the various topics associated with that page.
