Sadly most of the "smack talk" I hear in Eve is of the low brow type most associated with sexualized homoerotic assault fantasies or sea lion like volume contests. Ignore it or hit mute. It would be entertaining if CCP ran a "smack talk for success," seminar so that the skill level and overall variety would improve. When I first started I actually thought this game was geared toward a masochistic sci-fi gay subculture before I realized it was just a lack of imagination in smack talk and or heavy doses of intoxicants.

U mad bro, only takes the conversation so far.

But I will say, the hair and moustache are a brave combination. Very powerful.

goon spam looks very different. it generally involves nonsensical conversation, ponies, z 0 r, broken ASCII, etc.

My view of a typical goon is somebody who always wants thier own way and stamps their feet in unison loud enough when they dont, so the game creators decide to change the mechanics to quieten them down.

Also they seem to suffer from a superiority complex born from the delusion of being un touchable which is clearly expressed through 99% of their forum posts.

You do it on your main right? Course you do yeah, you dont create 2/3 new accounts and run the bots on those instead.

Your taking this game to seriously kiddo, best move on or you can do what some of us would do, camp their system, kill them one by one, become a living nightmare for them to deal with. Just my 2 cents.

Well, you obviously don't have much experience with them. The goons are *very* laid back, don't demand much if anything from their members and allies, never pull required CTAs, reimburse ships, etc. Thats the leadership, its very "here guys, go do your thing and have fun, we'll find big fights for you".

If anything, the culture is very isolationist and very focused on fun, not success. Goons don't like people trying to act like them, they don't like people who take EVE seriously, etc. Its just a big conglomeration of all kinds of dudes being allowed to do their things, no repercussions from up top. And because their community is so tight, they routinely come together and win when they really shouldn't have.

You seem to be mistaking trolling for delusion. Yeah, some goons are arrogant. But dude, they ******* earned it.

It's called smacktalk. People generally do it to try to egg you on into attacking them or doing something stupid. Otherwise people never say a peep in local for fear that they might divulge some piece of information which might be useful to you.
