I'm fairly sure they won't despawn, except maybe during downtime.

I believe you need to kill them, or alternatively, find another gas site.

That is when solo mining in a WH with a prospect or venture for gas, you want to maximize your yield at all cost (implants, mods). Most guides I've come across tell you to mine the most you can in the short period of time before the rats spawn, then warp off.

If you are living in a WH where the gas sites are found, I recommend you ask Corp members to come and kill off the rats once they spawn. The sleeper loot and salvage is often <3.

The wh sleeper rats at gas sites don't despawn. But they're also the easiest sleepers to kill. Murder them.

They don't despawn, but you can warp to all gas sites (to trigger their creation), come back in a pewpew boat to kill them all at once, then come back in yer Venture to clean 'em all up.

They should appear roughly 15 minutes after initial contact with the site. Start huffing around 16 minutes, get blown up by cloaky Astero around 17:20, be back home in time for dinner. Win!
