Ship skins on killmails

This week I bought a new star captain confessor ship skin. It was me first ever purchase in New Eden Store. It's look amazing. I bought confessor, wear new skin and flown with friends on a little roam. I was shot down, but when I looked on killmail, me confessor look ordinary, without this new great looking skin.

This is my idea, why there is no information about ship skin on killmail. It will be great, when other people could also know, that I have this great new skin, not only guys, that flown that day with me.

I think, that this way more people would buy ship skin from store.

If there's a way for the system to recognize it being active when the snapshot is taken, then sure.

Which people? If like me I scroll down and see what dropped. Like on a recent gank....how much did my ganker get. Not a lot, doh....


CCP already has figured why they aren't selling skins. had the nice sale last week ( I even picked up a niddy and nag skin in case I ever do return to pvp...big if but at the price, meh, why not). Love the niddy model but, and heresy I know to some, I don't go all in on the in rust we trust aspect of minmatar. Like cheap skin on sale for sleipnir last week. Not the sexiest I will grant but it was cheap and looks great enough on ships with lots of flat surfaces. Like the sleipnir or cane.

This week's sale not as good (I liked them 250 sales, skins of interest this week only 400) but ccp is getting that its the cost.
I may break down for a few more.



Thier other issue is thier skins are plain and vanilla against others out there. That I don't see them fixing any time soon. Here is what I mean by plain....I play heroes of the storm off and on. Blizzard makes some of their skins fun. They own the IP's to several top selling games....they mix it up. Futuristic SC character decked out D3/Warcraft style...why not. D3/warcraft character decked out SC style....sure. Tl;DR other skins out there have base model look really different after skin applied. If CCP did this, they might sell better.

For example if CCP could reach out to the IP holders of Captain Harlock and get the nod for a rokh skin to look like Arcadia....shut up and take my money CCP. Needs $50 in aurum buys? In appreciation here is a $10 tip as well CCP. For an arcadia, I would do this.

I noticed today that when I used 'show info' on my own ship, it indicates which SKIN I'm currently using. (is that new?)

If it appears there, then it can appear on the KM.

They can take my money for the Arcadia as well. Lol

Hopefully, with this new, more dynamic, SKIN system, we'll get much more interesting SKINs.
