Question about Plex and alpha and omega?

well i didnt played eve online for ages but now that its free to play got some questions not 100% sure what free players are called there alpha right? and paid players called omega? so what if not that it ever gonna happen if i got enough isk to get me a plex ingame do my alpha status or account gets upgraded to omega if i use it?

Yes. Alpha clones become Omega clones when you pay.

no no i mean u can get plex items ingame for isk right then if u use it u become omega? i dont mean buying plex on eve website

If you purchase a plex in game, you can redeem it for game time. This would make you an Omega account for 1 month per Plex Redeemed.

Its called a pilot license extension for a reason tho right.

You just have to think of it as renewing your spaceship drivers license once a month. That's how I always thought of it
you buy plex and use it instead of having to go to concords Div (department of interstellar vehicles) and standing in a line to talk to some **** who's gonna take a picture of you with your eyes closed for your character portrait.


But yes you can buy them with isk in game if you can afford it then you can play the game for free essentially

well i have a plex. but i have not played since June. when i go to use it and hover over the confirm it says it will be valid till July 9 2016. its November 19 2016.... why dose it say this. if i use it will i be activated again or just moved to 30 day off my expired timer.

I understand that plex that came as part of an Eve box set had expiration dates attached.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

I never knew that. There was a guy asking in Help chat earlier on with the same problem and he said a different date but sounds like the same thing.

well the date is different id say because thats when my account ran out. i bought the plex in game for isk so that shouldnt be the problem.im just not wanting to use the plex till i get some positive answers about this. id hat e to spend every last isk i have just to up my account.. i wouldnt do that but hopefully you get what im saying.

It also says your account will run out in "less than a day" on the login screen for an Alpha account. I think there are still a few kinks they need to iron out.

I'd say create a ticket about this. My guess would be that the displayed date is buggy, but would be fine once you activated the PLEX, but I'd recommend asking a GM just to make sure.

i did a ticket allready... still waiting for the reply. my luck it will take week before i get an answer. not sure how long it takes ccp to reply. i aint need one done in scine like 2011.

Normally not too long for game breaking or PLEX related queries. Currently tho with the influx of grebs the GM's are fully swamped, it took me 5 days to get a ticket response about not being able to log in.

Be patient, they will get to you.

If your an alpha account and it says your account is about to expire or expired, don't worry. Alpha accounts can not expire. The bug hunters say they are aware of the issue and are working on a global fix.

god to hear.. cant wait till i can plex my account up... alpha is ok but i want to fly my ships again. lol sad when a caldari pilot flys every thing but caldari .
