Now I'm assuming the servers in maintenance? I was thrown offline anyway :)
My question is I just accepted 5 career missions (the first lot we come to)
I have done some of them but didn't hand them in until today, now I realise we get bonus isk for doing them in a certain time.
So I lost some with the 2 I just handed in.
If I cancel these missions can I accept them again?

Yes you can but if you cancel them your standing will drop

So, In the long run would it be better to do the missions and lose the bonus and keep my standing?
Btw, how long is server down? Can't find any info for it.

why would you cancel a mission, losing standing in the process, and re-do the mission, when you can just turn it in and do another one? similar time spent, bonus reward received and no standing loss.

These are the first missions I have come across, there's like 5 to 10 missions for each career, when I do them all will more be available?
Also I was just asking because I will lose a bit of isk with not getting the bonus :)

How much ISK have you lost on mission bonus?

Well I suppose it would only be about 500k and some items.

The career missions are training missions, and as such they have inflated rewards to help newbies out. You'll be given ships, skills, and modules, for a total value of about 10 million ISK if you save them all and sell them on the market. Or, keep them and use them, thus not having to pay cash to buy those ships from the market, which is the same thing.

In any case, after the career missions end, you'll get silence. This game is not like other MMO's, where the mission givers send you to the next zone and the next set of missions. In EVE, we have a lot of agents that give missions, but they expect you to walk up to them and ask them for missions.

So, we recommend that you search for an agent of the Sisters of EVE organization, by the name of Sister Alitura, in Arnon. The SoE have a station in Arnon, so you can set a course for that solar system and dock at their station then ask Sister Alitura for a mission. She will start you on an epic mission arc that is also designed for newbie; these missions will take you across the galaxy and introduce you to the various races, and will get increasingly difficult (but doable by Alpha newbies) towards the end. Rewards are very good, probably another 10-20 million ISK and quite a bit of fun. Don't be afraid to ask other players to help you with the missions, if you get into trouble.

After the SoE epic arc (which you can repeat every 3 months), you can just use the Agent Finder app in-game to find agents, and walk up to them and ask them for missions. Agents belong to NPC corporations, and the NPC corporations are focused on combat (for example the various Navy, Police, or Security corporations), on mining (various Mining and or supply corporations), or on transport (various corporations). So you can pick what types of missions you do, by picking the right agents from the right corporations, and by building standings with them to unlock higher agents from the same corporation.

The various NPC corporations belong to one of the four empires (Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar), so you can pick the flavor of missions that you do, and you can also build standings with the actual empires by doing missions for them.

All of these options are searchable from the Agent Finder app in-game, or from eve-agents.com. Full spoilers for the missions, including what damage the enemy does and what order they appear in, can be found on eve-survival.org.

By the way, the career missions don't expire, so they'll be there after the server reboot.

If you decline any of them, that agent will stop giving you missions, so you won't get the rest of the mission chain.

BUT, there are actually 12 newbie school systems in the game, 3 for each race, so you can just fly to the next school system and find another set of career agents, and basically ask them to give you the same missions. This EVE University guide has a list of all the Career Agent locations towards the bottom.

You can send money to anyone by right-clicking them and choosing "give money".

To send money to your alt character, you first must find the character. Open People and Places and search for their name, and pick your alt from the list of characters that have similar names. Then right-click your alt and choose "give money."

To send items to your alt, you need to use a private contract. For that, you have to open the Contracts interface and start an Item Exchange contract that is Private, limited to your Alt (type their name in), and then you can select the items you want to give. The items are not teleported or mailed; you will have to log in your alt and fly to the station where the contract is, to pick up the items. Your alt can accept the contract from anywhere, but will have to fly to the station to pick up the items.

The Assets button will show you a list of all the items and ships that your character has, everywhere. So you can open the Assets and look where things are, and set a course from the Assets window, then fly to the location.
