launcher authenticator wants cookies

when i get the email code and enter it in the window on the launcher i get the message-

"we have detected that your browser has cookies disabled. to provide the best experience on this site we use cookies. please enable cookies in your browser and reload this page."

My browser has cookies and I can use the 2 factor authentication fine to log in here, so what is the launcher wanting me to do, and it there a work around? I checked my account settings to see if i can turn it off, but its not even enabled in the first place.

My virus software was blocking cookies for some reason (bitdefender). Changing to a different virus software solved my issue. See if there is a 'smart cookie' setting or something and if so - turn it off.
I couldn't figure it out on bitdefender and so installed a new virus software. All went smoothly after this.
