EVE is down for the update and upon loading the launcher it says i can't log in, two-factor ID needs to be refreshed. I've never used that.

Checked my settings and i have two factor identification set to 'disabled'.

I strongly suspect that this is the expected 're-verify your e-mail address' that we were told about last Friday - and many of us have hopefully done already (11.5 year old addresses can be fun!).

2-factor authentication requires an active and monitored e-mail address. The fact that you can then elect not to use it, doesn't mean that you don't still require the, then verified, e-mail address.

Don't soil your panties, you guys made a good point, we'll look at the numbers again. - CCP Ytterbium

you need to check your e-mails, you should get two e-mails,

one should verify your e-mail address.

2nd is a code you need to enter

Have used the authentication code sent to my e-mail but still can't get into the game.

It seems only the test server is available.

TQ is in VIP Mode. The CCP is verifying the Ascension Update. Patience, people, we are all playing the long game here.

We'll be building and blowing up serious internet spaceships shortly!

2fa is not email verfication. Alot of people have 2fa becuase of the pain in the ******* ass it is. Forcing it without warning is a tad shity.

I thought that 'make sure you email address is verified' just means you had to have verified your email address when you registered, as all players must do now.

Is there anything CCP touches that they can't make 10x more difficult to understand than needed?

Extremely sh*tty. All my account logins were wiped and now I have to manually re-add each and every one, whilst going through the two factor verification BS for each one at the same time. This is not on.

I think it would have been useful for them to have warned us about this though I do not recall them doing so.

Good Lord people, already with this complaining crap. Just type in the 6 number verification and be done with it. I seriously thought this game was populated with a higher intelligence base. This is not that difficult.

Many EVE players have a lot of accounts. You don't expect us to spend 5 to 10 minutes just logging in each time do you?

My account upon login tells me that two factor authentication is enabled. But my account info on eve online.com my account tells me it is not enabled. And I never wanted it enabled.

The verification code will not get you in at the moment as only test servers are available.

In order to log in to EVE you need to have a verified email address for account security purposes. The request for a code is a one time request unless you attempt to log in from a different geographical location, or from a different computer.
