Does the title make any difference?

So, I put up a 60 day time code earlier because of a major policy change by CCP. A policy change in fact that most people who come to the forums had no idea about, let alone the people who just play and think trolls are things with funny hair.

Another possibly game breaking rule change that no one hears about. (The people who received the very expensive box sets from me will have their game experience changed when they find out their 60 day create account codes don't work, in fact their experience won't even start! The codes are an enticement, who wants to play an alpha then pay instead of playing a game they already own?)

A nice feature would be an email to each account about account or serious game rule changes. I have found out, sometimes after the fact, about serious game rule changes or policy changes that can destroy peoples way of playing or even lifetime bans haphazardly, from in game chat or even Jita spam.

What are the current rules on multi-boxing? I have a general idea and stick to that (I just use multiple window software, never even bothered with key stroke copying even when it was legalish) but the sticky is too long to read to find out if a dev has clarified any question posted after the first post that really needed some points clarifying.

The sudden cessation of timecodes was hidden away and when it was tried to be shown on this part of the forum, which people actually read, it was instantly locked. Nothing was sent to the people who paid for the things even through CCP, if they bought from 3rd party I can understand but CCP are stopping a feature of something they sold and not even bothering to tell anyone.

Lack of communication is the major factor in this game, I can get emails about cosmetic pointless items but never any information about things I do everyday that may get me banned.

For instance I mentioned I use multi window software, that is external 3rd party software, is that allowed?

People use voice coms not included in the game across coalitions, that gives them major advantages over people not using it, personally I think that is a major breach of the rules as the software isn't included in the game and makes a serious effect on gameplay but I'll let the trolls bump this post by arguing that forever.

I'm going off topic again, I know, Cider doesn't work well with my meds.

What I am trying to say is having a million rules when you start the game and just click the EULA is fine, they are there for a reason and you play the game according to them, but changing those rules and posting the fact in out of way places that no one will ever find or even in the general discussion as a sticky so ambiguous is not really letting anyone know what is going on.

Next time I get an email about the amazing new stuff in EVE Online that probably won't have anything to do with me could you please, please somewhere put in things that actually affect everyone. A mail a few months back saying,
'Thanks for buying box sets with time codes from us we needed the cash or from *.* we need the cash minus commission. Due to the new expansion and the changes to the trial account system we are stopping the use of time codes as there are still x000's unused and no one will pay to upgrade a trial account for £16.99 when people realise the time codes are wanted and sell them on well known auction sites for a fiver.'

Or even
'Thanks for running x accounts for years, please note we are changing multi-accounting rules and if you break these rules we will ban you' I found out about that change in Jita smack talk months later.

CCP seems to make new policies without telling anyone (the customers) in any meaningful way, please can we get some notice!

Oh and telling the nodding dogs at the CSM meetings is certainly not a meaningful way, apparently one is into indie and whether he stood up for the orca or not (probably has no idea what it is as its not used in null) it's still about to be useless tomorrow.

Now for the totally pointless EVE related question: Why do people want movement within space stations if you live in a pod?

And the rant: Why do Americans think they speak American? Its English, really it is, there is a U in Armour, I looked it up.

And finally the random U-tube link to something I like but has no relevance to the post (look there are U's everywhere):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tKnsZCELD4

Janet and John stories once a week around 8am on the worlds most listened to radio show, something that will never, ever be allowed again in this world. You really need to go out and buy a Comic Relief Janet and John book or cd, have a bit of good British innuendo!

Tried to add a few things so that ISD doesn't link this to a post no one ever looks and locks it or move it to new suggestions that no one ever reads.

Its not that the Dev's have never been hi-sec miners, more that if they ever admitted it they'd be designing new pattern's in the dust as they sweep the car park. Would you employ someone who spends all day mining in hi?

As a matter of fact, things posted on the official forums or in official dev blogs do count as "letting everyone know what's going on." Just like posting in the local newspaper counts as "letting everyone know" for several legal action items; they are not forced to use email, internet, text chat, TV news, etc., and in fact just a newspaper announcement is sufficient.

So I'm not sure exactly what you expect. The company posted warnings on their official forums and dev blogs, in locations that have ALWAYS been used for such things. And yes, they are detailed and long posts, your fault for not taking the time to read through.

Post constructively; troll posts will be locked.

You mean the Dev Blogs, Tweets, and putting it on the launcher is not enough?

3. Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counterproductive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents.
