Launcher is just black

I sent in a support ticket but I'm hoping people reply faster on here as I just resubscribed and of course, the launcher goes whack Sad

Before I resubscribed the launcher worked no problems, I could login to account and hit play. I resubscribed and suddenly the launcher is black.

I tried the QT_OPENGL fix recommended but it doesn't work. I've tried running as administrator, added to firewall exception list and reinstalling EvE completely but nothing works.

I looked at the launcher logs and it shows the following error multiple times:
default warning QOpenGLShaderProgram::uniformLocation( qt_Matrix ): shader program is not linked
default warning QOpenGLShaderProgram: could not create shader program
default warning QOpenGLShader: could not create shader
default warning QOpenGLShader: could not create shader (Repeated 1 times)
default warning shader compilation failed:

I looked into what it may be and the general consensus is that it has to do with possibly my graphics card not Shader 3.0 compatible. So I looked up my graphics card using dxdiag and it is compatible with Shader 3.0.

I have attached my latest launcher log as well as the saved dxdiag with my system/graphics info.

Please help!

That's what I sent support. I forgot to mention I can move my mouse over parts of the launcher and it changes from the pointer to the I meaning I can type. Tried left clicking and typing username, pressing tab (move down to next box), typing password then enter but it didn't work.

I also just tried what someone did to fix a white screen (deleting opengl32sw.dll) but it didn't work either.

Any help would be awesome!

It seems like they've said they've fixed it. However, your files need to change for that fix to apply. If that is true, then your files need to be updated by a download. If that is true, then your launcher needs to download it, so it doesn't help that your launcher crashes on startup before doing anything.

The launcher is also integrated into the client in such a way that you can't uninstall and reinstall only the launcher, unlike blizzard's SC2/WoW/hearth launcher, which is separate.

Don't kid yourselves. Even the dirtiest pirates from the birth of EVE have been carebears. They use alts to bring them goods at cheap prices and safely, rather than live with consequences of their in game actions on their main, from concord to prices

have the 100% exact same issue (including same error repeated in logs) client said it had a patch today, it did a download, patch, and still black screen.

ok looks like i fixed the issue. i was remote desktopping into my server, and i didn't have a monitor attached. attaching a monitor (and it on and recognized by windows, even though it wasn't being used since i was remote desktopping) made the launcher show up. interesting.

just thought i'd share that as a workaround. thanks.

Spider (DEV) responded and said it was brought up and they were working on a fix and should be fixed today. It's 3:20pm here so hopefully it's fixed but if not I'll give your workaround a shot. Thanks Smile
