What is this garbage of having to re-verify your email and what are you supposed to do if its been dead for years and you cannot get back into it? Why does this need to be done?

Don't kid yourselves. Even the dirtiest pirates from the birth of EVE have been carebears. They use alts to bring them goods at cheap prices and safely, rather than live with consequences of their in game actions on their main, from concord to prices

Log in to your account before the 15h and change your mail, then verify it? Sometimes things are so damn simple.

I see they still let you post.....they are sniffing out accounts THAT NEED TO BE UPDATED. Is that hard?

No, I don't need my account updated thank you. If it becomes impossible to play without verifying, then that's what'll happen. Lost income.

And the new update to the eve launcher broke it, and now it crashes every time I open it. They really don't want people to play EO..

Because they verify your account through your email, in case someone hacks into it and changes the password, it gives you an email letting you know. A lot of services on the internet do this. Either it's worth maintaining an email, or it isn't.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

"I no longer use an email address but can not be bothered to update my primary contact address" is not a valid consumer complaint.

It's just being lazy.

Take five seconds and update your information like you would for any other internet thing you use.

I don't update anything, because I like anonymity and freedom.

The inconvenient part is, you need to have access to your old email address to be able to change the email address associated with your account.

I have just had to submit support tickets over the matter, having found no alternative.

You have to validate your email address because of Alpha clones. To prevent abuse of Alpha clones they will be preventing you from logging in with another account while logged into an Alpha. They are likely using email addresses to help with that.

While creating a new email address isn't hard, verifying email addresses at least prevents low-effort attempts at Alpha abuse.

Wut? I have like 10 email addresses with all fake names.

Unless you use a VPN they have your IP so I'm kind of at a loss at what you expect.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?

The game even asks a character name for verification if your IP changes.

You should probably stop playing online video games that require you to use your real name and financial information.

In order to set up a new email for your account, it seems a confirmation link is first sent to the previous submitted email.
If you cant access that old email service for whatever reason, then you can't setup a new email within your account.

Ex: Returning player who can log into their account and need an access code cant play because the old email he submitted x years ago doesnt exist anymore, and he cant change to a newer mail.

Also when ISP resets ip everyday, everyday an access code will be sent to a non existing email address :D Sounds fun

Support will have a lot of work :)

My emails are valid and I have access to them, but not from work. So if they require email validation for forum posting, well I guess goodbye Newbie Q/A and GD.

Can I have your stuff, because if they aren't validated by the 15th, it'll be compulsory from then onwards.

Anonymity can still be achieved with a free gmail account, etc.

But on the off chance you'll be quitting next week, please address all stuffs to:

Seems Pretty Clear to me.

With the influx of players from the Alpha Expansion and the recent increase of account hijacking the internet has been experiencing, CCP is taking the best approach available to ensure that someone who wants to steal your account has a very hard time. (Insert Rant about people not following basic pass word security.)

If you do not have access to the email used for the account, now would be the time to contact support and get that fixed.

I already verified it ages ago, why do it second time? Seems like vasted time for me. Also I dont see any option there to verify it again. How do you reverify what is already verified? Ugh
For clarification, i want to use current email.

Yesterday, I changed the email address of one of my accounts from a none verified address (I don't have any access to anymore) to my regular email address and verified it without any problems.

Moo! Uddersucker, moo!
