Where I grew up we used to dance. It is called the fox trot and everyone ends up rubbing shoulders with everyone else.

It is a good way to meet people and shrug off the day. In Amarr those were the days.

Then the pride of the godly lines came in. Zealots who never fought and never lost a battle.

Mammalian kind. We called them. They worshipped the animal kingdom and when they were frustrated with their lot in life and love and family order.

They ate their god. An eagle, a goat, a lion or a bear. We ran out of wolves because of this activity on my home planet.

When man turned into the dominant force in the lives of mammalian kind. Since animals don't fly space ships or write; The mammalian kind started eating humans.

That was effective.

Then gods with names were next.

Saints.

Famous people.

Anything came soon after.

These days the Amarr are breeding glitches. Souls that hate something in particular. Babies raised to hate power converters vindictively. Babies raised to loath meat or hate display screens so vehemently their afterlife is a spirit so aggressive the Amarr imagine they will win the war by breeding them.

I will wonder if an Amarr citizen even wants to be named in these days so late in war and the toil of freedom and the responsibilities one owes to oneself.

Responsibilities like thinking and working and making a day full of more than eating.

That's why I enjoy being a pod pilot. Eat me! There is more where this came from Amarr!

Uh--

Is it just because I'm apparently kind of an Amarrian sympathizer that this made no sense to me at all?

I mean-- obvious symbolism! ... in kind of a soup ... with weird small chunks of something unidentifiable ... and something else and something else again ...

... until the weirdnesses outnumber the recognizable bits by a lot.

And it seems like there's a simple statement being made, but the noise to signal ratio is just....

(See why he always gives me such a headache, Ms. Vess? I keep wanting him to make sense....)
