Split market orders

sometimes, after i put an order up, i would like to split an order and alter the price on a small portion of the items, rather than cancel the order, then put up 2 new orders.

say im selling 100 ships.
i then want to split it so i have
80 at the same price
20 at a different price

would be nice when modifying an order to be able to split the order and either have part returned to hangar, or on the multi sell/buy tab, to list the new stacks

Why not just make a 2nd order?

Honestly, I'm not sure the system can even do what you ask without trashing the whole thing and building a new market from the embers. I'll let the IT gurus dive into that one.

However, even if what you ask were possible, you would need to be charged the same price for setting up the splinter order as for setting up a separate order.

If it's possible and the proper sinks were kept in place, then I would have no problem doing this, but since it's not already this way after over a decade leads me to suspect that it's not technically possible.
