I've been sitting in Trauma 2 of our Regional Hospital for nearly 3 hours now. Waiting for results from MRI's (or maybe they said CT scan) to see if my wife is okay. They think it was a stroke but can't say for sure yet. My phone isn't fully charged because it's usually on the charger now and we're fast asleep. Not tonight. Tonight is different. And I keep asking myself why I turned to these forums. I'm tired. Tired of arguing about tactics and the mechanics of a game. My wife has hated Eve for 13 years now. All those late night mandatory ops in null sec. All the wars and me "having" to move all my **** to a different area. Most of my RL friends quit years ago. Like 2005! But here I am.

Sir, I sympathize. My wife has been battling illness for almost 16 months. Modern medicine can't definitively say what it is, much less how to cure it. We can only manage it as best we're able.

You came here because this is familiar. This is the place to find the people that you know. The game is a pastime for human beings. As players, we try to understand and support each other. There's lot of uncertainty staring you in the face right now. You have to take time IRL, for your family. We would do the same.

Take care and best wishes.

I think you should play less EVE and spend more time with your wife in such circumstances. We may be your friends, but you have family.

Thanks for the kind words. She's recovering and the doctors are trying to determine what's permanent. Using a walker Sad

I probably won't post about it again.

I hope she's all ok and going to be ok beyond this too.

Eve is nothing by comparison to RL companionship.

This game is but a shadow, an escape. It really does not matter.

I hope she is ok. Take care of her and yourself.

The CSM gets in the way of CCP communicating properly with the players of this game.

After all we are not just players, we are customers.

Time for the CSM to be disbanded.

Only natural that you'd post here pajedas. If you hang out here enough it becomes like your local pub. All the best to you and and wishes for a full recovery.

Pajedas,

There is probably nothing I can say or do that can help you in this time of need. And even though this may not help you in any way, know that I wish you and your wife the best of outcomes.
