Structures aggressing illegally in highsec

Hi.

What happens when a pristine POS shoots somebody they're not allowed to in HS? Does Concord shoot them into reinforced mode or do they bypass that? What about citadels outside of their vulnerability window?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

i dont think pos's are able to bite random passers by in the arse, not in highsec anyway.
theyre famous for it everywhere else though.

i think the same goes for citadels but im not certain, you should check it out on sisi (the test server) and see what happens

They can't illegally aggress in highsec. They have their safety locked to green.
Same with citadels.

Actually, it is even more limiting than green.

They can only aggress war targets in hisec.

Hmm, but then again I got my exploration frigate blown up by a POS in lowsec once, that's why I don't park at moons anymore. Granted, that was 2 years ago and I can't even remember whether the thing got a suspect flag or not.

POSes can be set to aggress anyone, anywhere other than highsec.

Allright, so "safety settings" for structures are locked to (super-)green in highsec and freely configurable anywhere else.
I put the safety settings in quotation marks since I assume they only mirror ship safety settings for citadels. From what I've heard POS configuration can be a bit more complicated (e.g. 6-24).
Thanks, guys.

A POS will act on its own, so it's always dangerous (If you aren't in highsec). A Citadel needs someone to man it before it can do anything to you.

Wormholer for life.

Hisec:
* Attack if at war.

Lowsec, nulsec & w-space:
* Attack if at war.
* Attack if standing less than 0.1

The other setting rarely used:
* Attack if aggression
Generally only used when can't use the standing < 0.1 setting for some odd reason.

POS will react to all aggression against it without "Attack if aggression", so this setting isn't needed, and is great way to get people killed accidentally, since anyone with an aggression flag is a potential target.

The "Security level dropping" setting is never used. I have no clue what it was ever intended for.

Well there is a tale the Old Pilots Tell,

Of a POS that came straight from hell,

Deep in Null it sat off a moon,

biding its time waiting for a fool,

it sat and lumber till a pilot came,

Blue or not, it was all the same,

With a Creek and a groan the guns shot true

all to make you go BOOM.

True Story though, I dont remember where it was but there was a pos that didn't care if you were blue or not. It would randomly kill people who came near it. I want to say it was in Goon Space back in the day. I wish I still had the link.
