The best distro for eve and all that goes with it?

I always wanted to try Gentoo, but my hardware was incompatible at the time so I learned Slackware. I had it running great on slackware 12 13 1nd 14 and mint 17. Hopefully going to get it running in 18 tonite, I'll have to check out the current launcher situation.

And another gentoo user and gamer here ;)

In the next weeks i will provide a gentoo overlay for all the fancy eve stuff like pyfa, evemon and, of course, the evelauncher ;)

Just switched my Laptop to Linux and used Linux Mint Mate 18
Works now. ( just had to update the Kernel since AMD graphics support is in such a wonderful state... )

Simply load launcher
- install wine to resolve dependency issues
Enjoy

I think since Debian, Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Mint use the same core its safe to say it will work. :D

Holy smokes, I would never have expected there to be so many Gentoo users here. Outside of eve, I'm the only one I know who uses Gentoo for anything. Quite interesting.
