Hello everyone,
I am new to EVE but have acquired an astral house player owned citadel through nefarious dealings Shocked While I am interested in PvP at a later time I am wondering if I can call upon your assistance for a PvE fitting. Please include required skills and recommended pirates I should engage in honorable combat. Since I am new I would appreciate general combat tactics as well; do I need to orbit or should I just keep my citadel at a distance.

This is important to me as I have high aspirations of forming a high security corporation that does a little bit of everything Big smile

Thank you in advance for your advise.

Oh, and if someone would instruct me on how to dock my citadel to restock missiles that would be very much appreciated.

EDIT, Dec 4: I have been unable to fit my citadel and appears to be moving so slowly that it does not register on the accelification display Sad CCP, how could you program a ship into EVE that is so slow? The agility for this citadel does not display when fitting, neither does the align times. Should I open a ticket?

Hello Capsuleer, I am happy to welcome you to New Eden. Before you get ahead of yourself with combating pesky pirates in your newly built Citadel I am going to let you in on a little known secret. Your citadel super weapons are located under the Neocom tab named [Project Discovery].

Remember this motto: Cellular noodles are the powerhouse of the cell. With this knowledge in hand you can begin your first steps toward combating pirates with tiny space noodles.

To convert you citadel to an effective PvE platform will require an extensive process of space noodle conversion. Begin by undocking from your citadel and entering tethered noodle state. Here, open [Project Discovery] from the Neocom and press Alt-4 to open a special context connection to the Eve Store. Purchase a skill extractor. Because you purchased with a special Project Discovery context link, this skill extractor will now interact with cellular noodles. In order to charge the extractor with cellular noodles you must complete 500 Project Discovery tasks (remember to remain tethered outside your Citadel during this time).

When you have completed the appropriate number of tasks you will hear a subtle beep (this may sound very similar to other Project Discovery window sound effects). At this time return to you citadel, redeem the extractor to you cargo hold and exit the station again. Now jettison the extractor and re-dock. The extractor will be auto scooped up by your citadel's tether and will begin the process of conversion to a PvE platform with the cellular noodles it contains.

At the end of this conversion process you should see these items deployed to your Citadel deliveries hangar.

1x Keepfresh Ramen

2x Standup Chopsticks
1x Improved Crash
4x Beef Spice Pack Projection
1x Synthetic Oil

Consume these assets. Enter control state of your citadel and reopen [Project Discovery]. Now your super weapons will harness space noodles. These are very effective in PvE against Drifters.

I see. I have located the project discovered menus you have described but I am unable to lock onto the cellular samples. I feel I am lacking a key skill or skills. Can you please recommend the skill I will need?

You do realize that a man with so much iron in his head and burned down face can only troll you, don't you?

OP.

A citadel is like a house. Not the type of house that a turtle or snail has, but more like a bricks and mortar kind. It can't go where you go. Once you anchor it, it stays put.

Now, you can actually kill rats while still tethered and be invulnerable to other players even though you are killing rats. Using drone boats is good for this.

However that is about the extent of PvE that you will get out of a Citadel.

They are useful for other things and will soon be able to fit industry modules, which is a kind of PvE I guess, though not in the strict sense of player versus environment like shooting rats.

So for fitting, tbh you don't quite seem up to using a Citadel yet (you will be wardecced if you have a player Corp).

I would suggest, sell it and turn it into ISK. After you acquired it nefariously, all the ISK is like liquid gold.

Don't bother with the two last posters trying to deviate you from your rightful path of battling evil pve pirates with your newly acquired battlestation.

You are correct on the assumption you're lacking skills to lock onto cellular samples. To do that, you need one level of the "Discovery" skill trained for tech I samples and at least level IV for tech II samples.

Problem is, to train "Discovery", you need "Obfuscation" trained up to level V, and I see you only have it at level IV. Level IV allows you to write sarcastic posts on forums and still make some people think you mean them, but it's not enough to start "Discovery".

Also, don't bother looking for "Discovery" on the market or in contracts, it's a drifter drop that can only be traded directly.

I can't tell if the OP is trolling, being trolled, or both.

I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!

None of those options are mutually exclusive.

Made me. Chuckle. Thanks for that lol

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

You should open a packet of Ramen instead.

You are looking at this moment 'issue' incorrectly. You cannot move the Citadel with any great gusto but you can move space around your Citadel. This is a matter of fourth dimensionality. To achieve movement in the fourth dimension you must consume Drifter spice packs. Again you must observe the flatlands of spooky cellular noodles in Project Discovery to earn Kredits to purchase these rare spice packs.

He who controls the spice, controls the universe.
