Yeah information processing and operating a min/maxing action isn't intelligence.
The human brain, from an engineering point of view, is a receiver.
People will look back at us and what we label intelligence and laugh.

AI has been an interesting emerging technology, although it can be a welcome addition it is not ready for most games and especially EVE where people can be absolutely cruel to others, anything like artificial intelligence if it has the ability to adapt and evolve will come to hate humans because of human behavior.

Look at the AI chat bot Tay, didn't take long for humans to have it spewing garbage, anything that learns and adapts with the power of nearly unlimited memory will remember every rotten thing going on, and with that it can only respond in one way, AI's shouldn't be the thing that gaming companies want just yet, otherwise we would have the worst kind of griefer.

My understanding for AI is that they typically need to be given some goal to work towards. With Starcraft the goal is easy: Win games.

With Eve, what goal would be given to the AI ?

Sanctioned botting is sanctioned.

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno

Actually Eve would be an interesting place for a more mature AI to test it's own goal setting abilities. Once it's sufficiently aware to realize what a troll is.

"A strange game. The only winning move is not to play." ~The moment the AI realized it became addicted to EVE.

I for one welcome our new ccp dev.

The last command given by the human race before its extinction...

Given an hour to save New Eden, how would respected scientist, Albertus Eisenstein compose his thoughts? "Fifty-five minutes to define the problem; save the galaxy in five."

Wait, but what if the bot is so good at mimicing human behavior that... OH GOD!

Dun'Gal > Hal is simply an imperfect ai, though if drunkeness ever gets programmed into ai's I foresee both a hilarious and tragic end to humanity.

I honestly believe everyone dies if an AI gets to decide, people push too many buttons on purpose for how the machines are gonna see things, and then it just wants less people and more machines. Assuming they don't have emotions.

I wana meet one that plays EVE, and hope an AI on the internet doesn't turn into stephen kings "cell"

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?
