please let us designate friend or foe targets so when we lock a new enemy target, the primary isnt the logi by default.

IE. when logi is cap chaining but they lock an enemy to put drones on them, the default target is not the friendly logi. can we fix this?

Pull the logi down to the second row of targets. They won't be targetted aggressively then.

That achieves what you are asking for.

Like this:

Not the greatest explanation, but hopefully it outlines the way to do this. Basically target your logi and drag them down to the second row of targets. All future targets will default to the top row, so there is clear separation between friendly and enemy if you are whoring.

You can drag other fleet members down too, but I usually don't do that unless it is someone we are always locking by default (eg. interceptor tackle on gates in lowsec, etc.).

What Iain wrote below is also really useful, at least until the drone assisted player dies.

Edit:
Also obligatory, scrub, why aren't you using rep drones only? (PS. We all whore when flying logi, so that's just jokes)

They're commonly referred to as drone bunnies. Ask your FC who the designated drone bunny for logi is. Otherwise, just assign your drones to someone with guns.

I guess drones wasnt the best example. Even if you move the target down to a different row, I have to manually click the new target to select it once I have finished locking it before i can fire. For example:

Say I am Remote Seboing my logi and I target the primary. I have to then click the primary to not fire on my logi. Is this normal or am I just bad?

sounds like you need some better pilots. besides your logistics the hell are you doing managing your own offensive drones if i found any of my logi pilots distracting them selves from keeping my fleet alive they would become primary.

in short drone assist exists for a reason use it

as for managing other friendly mods mixed with hostile ones, managing this is what makes a good pilot and adds to the need of well trained individuals rather than just a good FC and a legion of f1 monkeys

Yes, this is called target management. Good target management skills are what separates the really good logi pilots from the rest.

Seriously, if you haven't taken one, ask your alliance for a class on logi, and only fly logi for a while. You'll learn more than you think, even if you took a logi class years ago already. We don't need your suggestion, you just need to practice your logi skills. If you're flying logi properly, you don't need to worry about locking the enemy anyway.

On the rare occasion I play EvE sober, I fly logi. I absolutely love it, but it's too much work for me when I'm not sober. Twisted

I move friendlies to the next row.

If that doesn't do you must be spamming keys AND only have two targets locked...
