I haven't done very much in project discovery, but I feel the window leaves me feeling like I'm trying to describe the galaxy with refrigerator magnets. It can be done, but some of the important details are lost. I know some of what I'm hoping for might not be in line with the scientist's goals, and obviously it's important to help them. But I also think from my sample size of listening to The Learning Cliff go through this, and my experience and seeing the results of players' selections that Eve players would probably prefer more detail than we currently have (though perhaps not as much detail as I'm suggesting here).

With that said, here are my suggested improvements to the interface.

1) "Are you sure?": I just now accidentally forgot that I selected something, either through a mis-click or because sometimes I click on things when I think about them. An "are you sure you want to submit these?" Dialog would go a long way to helping me be more accurate, which will waste the scientists' time less.

2) Percent of image or intensity indicators: This one could get complicated pretty quickly, but sometimes I see one example of a thing, once in an image, but nowhere else, I'd love to be able to be able to check a box range for each that describes the range of attributes like Infrequent to ubiquitous and also faint to intense. Also I would like to have the ability to better indicate exactly what I mean when I click "cell to cell variation". Sometimes there is just one cell that's different, is that worth clicking that option? Sometimes it's just one of 2 types of staining that varies while the other is consistent.

3) Replay tutorial: I'd like to be able to replay through the tutorial at any point (for no isk reward). I'm away from the game for a while a refresher would be neat.

4) Just toggle: When an image first loads, and you click on a color, it turns off all colors except that. It seems like a pretty ridiculous choice since the entire point of this exercise is to compare colors. So each button should only act as a toggle. Clicking read always just toggles red, if it's currently on, it turns it off, no matter how many other colors there are.

5) More library images, bigger, with color toggles: I would like more robust comparison libraries, as well as a more solid comparison window, where you can manipulate the library image similar to the image you're trying to categorize, most importantly to toggle the colors. And for one of the options, Plasma membrane, I selected it based only on a line of text, because none of the image examples showed that. "Sometimes only appears as a rim around the cell." The expanded image libraries should include variation similar to what I described in point 2 that reflects what's in the text for these attributes.
