Does scanning have any impact on whether a BRG spawns or not? In Faction Warfare you HAVE to (or at least you used to) scan down sites to get them to pop up in system.

I know they will spawn on their own, but can we increase the frequency?

Not directly. However, they do tend to spawn and stack up in out of the way or lower sec systems due to fewer people travelling through. I've had up to 6 in one system and, after I cleared them, I'm sure they almost instantly respawned in another system in the region. Other than that, I doubt it.

To buck the popular trend, I began to Rage Start instead of Rage Quit.

...and every time I get another piece of Carbon, I know exactly what CCP is getting this Christmas.

Maybe I completely missed something, but what does an event site have anything to do with scanning?

You didn't read what I said, that's how you missed it.

Have you ever done Faction Warfare? You have to warp to planets and scan to get those sites to pop up.

I didn't miss what you said, just never done faction warfare. That's why I asked how it has anything to do with scanning. Having to scan anything for event sites to show isn't a very common prerequisite.

Actually no, you just warp to the FW site shown in the probe scanner window and the beacon pops up. You mixed that up with orbital strikes for Dust (RIP), I think.
