Annual Purge

Would anyone support or be open to the idea that one day per year, for 24 hrs, Concord and Facpo go to Jove space for cocktails and nibbles and that all restrictions are lifted in hisec and lowsec? No Concord, no Facpo, no gate guns, nothing.

Sure you can get this in null all the time, but hey... I think it would be fun.

Why do people have such an urge to put this tripe on the forums after watching the film?

The one day a year that this happens is the one day a year most hi-sec players don't log in. Ooooh fun!

Didn't a yearly purge already exist in the form of a Jita burn?

It's just a fun idea, and not something you should be getting upset about.

I actually haven't seen the film.

Thanks for your input.

Burn Jita is a joyous gankfest and doesn't reflect the idea posted.

So your idea isn't joyous gankfest?

There was such a day many years ago.

For a full 24 hours there were no Faction NPC and CONCORD was disabled.
Afterwards, the server was rolled back and everything was the way it used to be before the apocalypse happened.

All this would do is make anyone who lives exclusively in high sec, not log in for a day.
The concept is as flawed as when miners tried to group together and not sell mineral for a day, all the miners sold the day before and the day after.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

This day is every day in low or null security space but I think the 75% of players who live in highsec will vote no!

I wouldn't consider it ganking if people can fight back, and you have to plan for a legit fight. I consider that PvP

Anyone who wants it. It's not a complaint thread at all, just an idea. It's fun if you want it to be.

It's not a fun idea, and it's something that is intentionally trying to upset others.

It's a **** idea that was posted more than enough times when each film came out. Try to imagine how often it's been posted since the first film... This is the reason I'm tired of it and also the reason the search function exists so people like you can avoid flak from people like me.

Wow.

I'm sorry you fell asleep and lost your Rattlesnake to hisec rats, and I feel your pain with respect to your having autopiloted your overpriced shuttle into a smartbomb, but please, don't push your angst onto me. This is a game.

Clearly a minority of particularly sensitive players wouldn't want this, however I do feel that it would add some variety. I did attempt to search for previous similar posts, however as is often the case the search function doesn't perform.

Have a wonderful evening.

I think you'll find you're the one that 'bit', and pretty spectacularly too.

I think a 'calm down, miner' is appropriate?

Sure. However, only under 1 condition: All of Null sec and Low sec loses its standings. Everyone is neutral and you cannot set standings at all for anything. And in order to prevent the dimwits from exploiting tech savviness, CREST and the API system are shut down as well as logging data into text files to prevent file scraping. Furthermore, all of Null sec turns into High sec and all the sov indices are reset and ihubs destroyed.

How much "fun" the Purge is, is very evident in the thriving, bustling and densely populated Purge regions of New Eden (also known as Null sec) ... very evident.

CCP: What do you mean, "biblical"?
