Can we get new graphic for module activation

Currently, certain regions the backdrop is so bright, that seeing which modules are active is a bit of an eyestrain.

I propose either a new activation graphic (from the white circle and flashing) to something a bit more obvious in all regions (Shadowed and teal circle activation)

These are examples of how intense the background can be in Amarr systems.

This.

skyboxes are pretty but if we cant play while looking anywhere near them then they are pointless.

if You put indicators with better contrast then we can all be the 1%.

We do not need new graphics. What we need is an intelligent UI system that darkens UI elements if they are placed in front of bright backgrounds. And guess what, we have that already in the chat windows if you have transparency activated. CCP should just port that to other UI elements (most importantly the system name/location section in the top left which is nearly invisible in Domain in certain camera angle positions.)

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

We need something similar to whats done with subtitles where there is a grey background behind the letters so they are more distinguisable.

I'd go for a little clock/wheel that is overlaid on top of the module icon actually, showing the cycle time of the activated module.

Since the module icons are already fully opaque, this would be readable no matter what the background was.

The timer is only one part of the problem. The green/red hue indicating active/turning off state of the module is another. your in-module timer solves one, but leaves the other, as well as other UI areas like the mentioned system info area, as is. An darkened area around the module that encompasses the activation indicator hue as well as darkening text solves more problems with minimal effort.
