I am noticing an uptick in misogyny in Eve. It has always been there and in my opinion many of the GM''s are tolerant of it. It has never been tolerated in World of Warcraft, and they have even gone out of their way to make their female models realistic looking compared to other games where they just have enormous breasts and a tiny waist. The male female ratio in Blizzard games is really phenomenal I think its something like 37%

Well obviously I play a male character sometimes but I am a female and in the Help channel yesterday when I mentioned this because some idiot was accusing me of trying to "attract chicks" or something because I was talking about solo pvp and how it is better than big fleet pvp if you are coming from a true pvp game (FPS). He was upset because obviously proud of his killboard but it was really not excuse. Saying that reccomending solo pvp is to impress "chicks" is totally dumb and sexist. But then after mentioning it people in the channel also started to contort into the weird and gross misogynistic forms saying I needed to voice chat with them to prove I was a girl and send them pics, and then they also said weird stuff like "Well girls play male characters but its extremely rare." this had nothing to do with the topic. I was having a great conversation and suddenly I just was overcome with violent urges. No one talks like this in real life unless they want to get in a fight of course. The internet makes monsters out of mice.

Okay then today I was in an asteroid belt mining on a character I roleplay with (a female) and this player kills my ship. I said "why did you do that" and they said "bitches love killmails" i reported that idiot but I doubt CCP will do anything to this dumb ass

Also there are corps with horrible names that I have reported multiple times that show ascii art of **** and buttholes and rapey sounding names with womens breasts. CCP never does anything about it.

This game is full of gentleman but has an seedy underbelly of disgusting cretins who should have been banned a long time ago.

Ya'll want more women in the game and wonder why mostly American women represent the very few females in the game its because we have to put up with disgusting guys irl here at home I don't see European women as willing to do that. It drives away a lot of women from the game who arn't used to the military culture. Even those of us who are used to grittier talk don't want to constantly be bombarded with it.

Guys in Eve get really weird around girls on comms. I don't mind the "nice weird" like "wow a girl its great to hear a girl for once" what I am talking about is these pricks who go out of their way to make a girl uncomfortable and passive aggressively stalk them and try to get them to quit the game or quit the corp, whatever.

Every one of y'all guys who stand up for women and tell other guys to STFU on comms when they're being creepy and those who restrain themselves and just let us play like a normal player I appreciate you and I know a lot of other ladies do to.

I understand hetero guys like having women around and that's fine, I appreciate the finer points of flirting and sexual discussions but there is a line and the only way these morons are going to learn how to act around women like the grown ass men they are is if gentlemen show them how to act and I want to say I appreciate all you do.

This right here is your solution IMHO.
Anyone acting the degenerate arse should be violenced, and their friends violenced until they are ostracized,
And then violenced some more for good measure.

I'm not about to try and dismiss or downplay your own experience here but

I will say

you really might want to consider that
as an American
playing in an American time zone
you're inherently less likely to come across Europeans
who are by definition much more likely to play in a European timezone,
And that this might have something to do with your impression of how many EU women there are

Women and men are socialized differently. I'm fine with that. But I'm not fine with feminization being forced my way.

I'm fine with more girls playing... or not. I really don't care either way, unless they start crying over every bad word or rude behavior they see, and go running to CCP to tell on people. Next I'll be reading on these forums that ships look too phallic, and it offends girls, and they should be redesigned to be less offensive to them.

If you don't want more women in the game then you don't deserve to be on the internet because you're a godamned caveman and you don't deserve to be in the Western world. Y'all need to just go back to the middle east with all of the orientalist thinkers.

I get ganked in World of Warcraft way more than in Eve, much as Eve players have a inferiority complex about it this isn't the hardest pvp game in the world. Eve players are the biggest weenies about bragging about their l33t pvp skills and this goes hand in hand with the immature manchild behavior of its players.

The more you turds squirm the happier I get because when the enemy starts to squirm it's because they're cornered. Eve is one of the last and worst refuges of mouthbreathing misogynistic manchildren everywhere and it's obvious the roaches will go scattering if you shine a light on them. Everyday it gets better and better and there are less places for these scumbags to run, both in the real world and in the fantasy worlds they try to escape to out of that light.

Well that went south quickly.

Attitudes all around can be equally divisive at times.
