What's a good fitting for the Vexor in wormhole sleeper pvp?

Hi, I'm a somewhat new player in EVE Online. I got into gas cloud harvesting and got into the problem of having sleepers attacking me every 15 minutes. I was told the Vexor was a good ship for this. So, I'm wondering, what's a good fitting for this ship that's doesn't require a lot of skills to train but it very effective. My budget is under 50 million for all of the parts.

1. I assume you mean PvE as sleepers are not players.
2. It depends on what class wormhole you're in. In a low class wormhole a vexor might work for the gas sites, in the higher class sites you will get clobbered.

I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!

Yes, I do mean PvE, and I think I'm in a low-class wormhole. The problem is though, I'm not sure what a good way to fit the ship is.

The biggest strength of the Vexor is its versatility. However, I'm not sure if the ship will work against Sleepers. Couple reasons:

1. You have to omni-tank (raise all resistances), and the Vexor will not have enough slots to let you do that. A T2 HAC is much better in this regard because of built-in high resistances.

2. Sleepers attack drones, and a good portion of the Vexor's damage comes from drones.

"jedi" gas harvesting can be kind of fun. Basically speed-tanking the sleepers while you orbit the cloud. Afterburner and small armor repairer + orbiting at a range where you keep up as much speed as possible.

Whoever advised a vexor vs sleepers might have been trolling you. I guess it could take out the gas frigate spawns. But why not fit something that could actually do some of the combat sites too?

If you tain gas huffing to V and get a pair of T2 gas harvesters you can finisch 1500 m³ sites in a venture before the sleepers will spawn. With mining frigatte V you can can get over 2000 m³ gas before sleepers.

Here's a good guide to how much damage sleepers do at each WH gas site. Click on 'gas sigs' on the top of this page

Also, try to have a way to salvage the wrecks after killing them. There's a lot of ISK to be made from WH salvage. Not only that, if someone sees wrecks on d-scan, they will go after you a lot faster. If you can't salvage the wrecks in a reasonable amount of time, blow them up.
