Hey guys just need some clarification with the mastodon DST and EHP. When I look at mastodon kills on zkillboard I see damage taken ranging from 10-20k. Even with no modules active I get 30-40k ehp on a trash fit and when you activate your modules and overheat I see people claim EHP of over 200k. So I guess I am confused why I am not seeing bigger damage numbers.

Also if any one could share their fits for hi/low/null sec and why it works would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

'EHP'

If you have 90% resists, and have 100k ehp, that's still only 10k HP. And you only need to take 10k damage to explode. (Sure, The people attacking are having to throw out 100k, but only 10k gets through (and recorded)

Woo! CSM XI!

What killboards show is "raw HP"... or Hitpoints with no resistances factored in.

EHP, or "Effective Hitpoints," is the "raw HP" with resistances factored in.

For example:

Say you have a ship with 1000 hitpoints.

Now add 50% resistances to all damage types.

This mitigates all incoming damage by 50%... in effect, giving you 2000 hitpoints (because it will take 2000 points of damage to reduce your HP to zero).
