EVE Launcher version 1089859 addresses an issue with updating on Windows, where the launcher would not exit properly preventing the update.

High DPI scaling is now disabled again, but can be enabled with a setting. This fixes the issue of the launcher window appearing too large.

If you are on a 4K monitor and want the launcher to scale up according your Windows scaling settings, go to the Settings under the E menu, tick Enable high DPI scaling and restart the launcher.

Yesterday's launcher update worked fine for me, but today's update has introduced a DLL error that is preventing it from functioning and keeping me from logging in.

updater.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point K32EnumProcesses could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

After doing some searches it appears this might be a compatibility issue with Vista and I know you guys don't support it anymore, but surely the launcher doesn't need to be the final nail in its coffin?

I am having the same problem. As of today I can not log into eve I get the kernel error listed above. Is there a timeline for the fix? a reinstall did not help. My linux install stopped working towards end of summer and doens't seem to want to function, if this ends up being the last nail in vistas coffin i guess im done with eve. No OS to play it on :(

In case anyone else is still stuck, I found a work around! Huzzah.


When the update pops up(and you need to act fast before it crashes) hit the cancel button. Lets me update and launch the clients.

What is up with all these random notifications that are displayed every few minutes?
I click them away and they come back up when i have my launcher selected again.

always about "patch notes, some silly sale we're doing" etc. and they're not new patch notes, not new sales not new anything.

Cancel the update, then switch to the dev version (Settings from the E menu) - it should work in Vista.

Since the last update the launcher flickers everytime you open it again from the taskbar.

Is it just me or have you really increased the ad spam in the launcher by quite a margin? Nearly every time I look at the launcher, there is another notification hanging under the speech bubble. Same for the news scroll: You put so much garbage in there, but important things like the notice about account security from a couple of weeks ago never made it into this scroll. Isn't one huge area for adds enough?
You really should reconsider your priorities for the different info areas. Rubbish like the Rosada Dawn dev blog or the 2 ads for the EVE Vegas event have no place in the scroll, that's an item for the advertisement area. I mean, you did not even include the arguably very important info piece about the postponed release in the scroll.

I have windows 10 and as I previously stated, I could log in yesterday. tried to log in today..it appears some updated downloaded and installed. but now I when I press the "play selected" it acts like it is going to launch the game screen but then stops and goes back to "play selected1"

I think I just found a partial fix....for some reason I have to choose refresh each time I want to log in...guess it will due till fixed
