[Feature request] Option to reduce/resize the 3D VIEWPORT

Hello everybody.

We need an option to reduce the 3D VIEWPORT (the 2D screen area used to project the 3D scene).
Most of the screen is used for windows and text information.

I am using a 2156x1871 window, and I don't need to waste my GPU power to render such big area,
that will stay anyway hidden under all the windows.

A viewport like, for example, 1000x1000 pixels is more than enough, and would be 4x faster.

Everything in EVE is windowed, only the viewport is forced to use all the screen available.

Please add an option for this. :)))

Thanks

Alternately, something I've watned for a while is the ability to put EVE's interface windows in their own windows in stead.

Functionally this would do the same thing as far as allowing resizing of the viewport, but would also allow for much better performance an less weird FOV issues if you just want to dedicate, say, the left 20% of a second monitor to your overview, or pul alliance chat or the fleet window or whatever in a larger window on a second monitor or whatever.

Currently my options are fullscreen on a single monitor, borderless window on a single monitor, or a bordered window I have to stretch across two monitors, recenter the camera, and it gets all screwed up if I adjust the size of the window to make room for TS or a browser or whatever.

What I'd like is the ability to undock interface elements to/from the main viewport so I could keep stuff like the scan window, local, etc on a second monitor in their own containers.

For very similar performance reasons. Wheenever I stretch the EVE window across 2 or 3 monitors I'm not doing it for a panoramic view of space across all three. I'm doing it to clear up the main viewport on my main monitor and put all that information off to the side.

This needs to happen. Then I can put all of my local chats in one spot and stop having to flip around between my cloaky scouts.

Oh oh! And live market data comparisons on the fly without waiting for CREST updates.
And miners could put all their cargoholds in one spot to drag and drop from exhumer to Orca without flipping.
CCPls give us the ability to manage all our non combat clients from one place with zero effort involved.

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno
