EVE-online user interface is not friendly

EVE-online user interface is not friendly. friendly is not a tutorial - it means not to design for human.you're not a game robot. you're not pefect. but eve system think you them. almost games have design for human. it don't contol your character,and it don't block your mistake but it notify about your mistake, your fail. or it provide you how to restore from your mistake.

For Example, Starcraft 2 that is a famous game have fuction-"Select idle worker"-if you miss your worker,this fuction find this worker for you, and you can command this worker. But at EVE, you remember all worker location! if you lost your worker, and you don't remember worker location, you lost. therefore, EVE online map is bigger than starcraft.

Do you think that take the analogy too far? i lost my drone today. my mistake is simple;not return drone before warp drive. and i lost this location. if another game, i have a option that nofify about drone before warp. or, it show my visted location. i show this list, and i come to remember and find it. but EVE, provide nothing. only way i remember visted location.

Some people says me, you must memorize that you must return your drone before warp. i don't think so. if you are a game bot, bot don't forgt and don't mistake. but human cann't. it's not important for balnce,for game and i think game offer me to recover from my mistake. or notify about it before warp.

This is not only. everythig. i have strange name, Amarr Citizen 93869680, eve system generate this name. if ormal game. ask to me, "Your citizen name become "Amarr Citizen 93869680" auto-generated. are you right? this name show to another character!" but eve don't warn about it. i cilck next, and my mame is selected.

But next time you'll remember your drones, so there, your problem is solved.

Some people make a living by collecting forgotten drones, every now and then you see people shine because they found forgotten or lost gecko's.


Also forgotten drones got nothing to do with EVE's interface. Once you learn the basic functions, EVE is rather straight forward, in my opinion.

The cockpit of an aircraft isn't "friendly" until you've had some training and experience - then you understand why things are laidout that way and it makes sense. Eve's problem is keeping people interested long enough to learn - hopefully the new NPE will help with that.

In Eve mistakes have consequences. Think of drones as expendable, like ammunition and it won't hurt when you lose them. They can be scanned down and recovered if you have the skill and forgetting your drones is pretty minor compared to forgetting your MTU (that will happen - be prepared)

You have ample opportunity to select an appropriate and personalized name when you create your character. You also receive a confirmation prompt when you create your character on whether you agree with all data that you entered. The name you currently have is the result of a petition because your selected name violated the TOSEULA. It is not a problem with the UI that you were forced to take on this name, it is the consequence of your choices when you selected your name during the character creation. If you want to change that name, you can petition CCP about it.

I call troll. Eve doesn't auto generate names, and it won't let you complete character creation without selecting one. In recent years when they moved to requiring two names, they added an autogenerator for the surname (family name), but not the given name. So you either named yourself that on purpose, in which case quit your whinging, or you picked a name that violated the TOS and CCP changed it to that for you, in which case quit your whinging.

I really wouldn't mind a Ship location Log, Say a list of the last 10 locations that you previously warped from, and able to turn them into longer-lived bookmarks. Auto name them by number, nearest large structure and distance from it.

Yes you could do all that manually but is that necessary? I mean automated systems are innovations of the future. Surely these ships are future enough to have that capability.

And in cases of TOS violations...this picks up (usually) offensive names quickly. Got funny with the name, its corrected to this fast. You get 2 choices, reroll and try for a more normal name. Or stick to it. Grand scheme of things lets have your name last over the weekend. It finally caught on Monday. Thats 2 days lost on reroll. Not end of the world. And is the downside for gambling on the filters not catching your uber edgy skills (or players reporting it) ...and you lost. Not trying to fool them and a more normal name used, no problems.

...Drones cost pocket change. Unless you're running geckos I suppose, but if you have those you should know how the recall button works.
